“nice and mostly clean”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

Nana House is a nicely designed hotel at the north end of the beach road in CHA-AM.
We had a room in the second house in a side road.
Public parking was available.
The dirty beach and the meager breakfast with 3 HALF TOAST SLICES per person drove us away.
The bath room and the lobby showers and toilets could have been more clean.
The staff was shallow-friendly but inapt or uninterested.

Room Tip: the rooms in the sideroad building are ok.

From various reviews, I was expecting something better. Yes, our top floor "sea vew" room was quite big, clean and pleasant, but the sea was little in evidence compared to the car park, two roads, an untidy sprawl of beach covered in deck chairs and tall trees (the latter being fine).
Most surprising is the small, rather mean lobby, with a coffee area in front, a tatty and patched plastic couch opposite the reception desk and a row of toilets and showers at the back for the beach loving public to pay for and use. The trouble is that guests have to walk right past all this to access the stairs! It's not really acceptable when rooms are 1200, 1500 or 1800 baht....not cheap by Thai standards!
Some staff were very offhand and not much bothered, but others were much more helpful and proactive.
The so-called American breakfast was rather mean....and there was no choice: take it or leave it! Again, not acceptable at those prices!
Hotels are very much in competition in Cha Am, so I think that one could do much better by just showing up, driving or walking along and checking what's available.

Room Tip: Top front is best, but you pay over the odds for it. I hate to think what the 1200 baht rooms are li...

We have stayed twice in the main building and can't be more satishfied. The rooms facing the beach are not only large, very clean and comfortable but also light. They even have a balcony.
The beach is a two minute walk away and if you ask the staff for something they deliver.
Nana House is in the more quit part of Cha-am Beach but if you desire more night-life this small town is very walkable.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the beach, and if 300 baht more is not a big deal try to get a room in the...

Nice room and very friendly staff. The guesthouse was clean and neat, the room was spacious with tv and a small bathroom. Excellent wifi connection. Absolutely value for the 700 bath we paid a night:-)

Nice refurbished room- the paint was still drying. We had a room with balcony facing the sea which you could glimpse through a stand of very tall trees.
The girls were friendly, the American breakfast okay and if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this should suit you.

Good value guesthouse in Cha-am, an under-rated Thai resort. Rooms are cool, spacious, clean and have free wifi. Staff are friendly. Located at the far end of the beach so not too noisy at night, but restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. About a 30 second walk from the beach. Has a bar that serves drinks and coffee. A good choice in this town

Found this in the lonely planet and wasn't expecting much. However, rooms are good size and clean. Cleaned daily by friendly staff. Excellent WiFi. Located opposite the beach with shops and restaurants nearby. At the other end of the beach to all the loud and overpriced resorts. Would definitely stay again. 800b for double/twin room with ensuite. No breakfast but loads nearby.
