we didn't want to leave ... fantastic fun!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Aug 2012
We stayed here beginning of August for seven days. We are a family of four, two adults and two children.

We had a fabulous time, and did not want to leave. Our lagoon access room was in block five, right beside the kids club and main building. We were offered two options on check in – two queen beds or a king bed with an extra put up and utilising the sofa. We went for the king option, which whilst it isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing – the room was a full of beds, it was the most comfortable option for us all. The beds, pillows were very comfortable and we all slept very well. The bathroom was very well appointed with a large bath and separate shower, the sliding door from bath to bedroom had a lock so privacy wasn’t an issue. The daily clean and turn down service were all faultless, we did not have one compliant.

Dining – Upon check in we were given a ‘kids dine free’ pass with adult meals. I’m not sure if this was a hotel , spg or our tour operators offer but it was great. Despite the advantage of this the pricing throughout the hotel was very reasonable for a resort hotel. All meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner – we dined everywhere - were great.

Kids club – it’s in a clean purpose built building, with garden and play area. There is a no shoe policy inside so it’s a lovely for young babies crawling about. There were daily activities for kids of all ages from creating frames to clay figurines (you see these in the photos), there was a nominal fee for certain activities and our 7 and 9 year old enjoyed the change of doing something and going off for an hour or two each day.

Location - The hotel is located out of town, a 10/15 minute drive away. The shuttle is 50 baht per adult, kids up to 12 free, but we also paid for our kids, there is no way my nine year old daughter can travel on my lap. The cab fare into town is 250baht each way.

Spa – my daughter and I had Opi pedicures one rainy afternoon at short notice, lovely spa with very kind friendly staff –the treatment was approx £20 each.

Finally THE POOL – is amazing, it was such fun to circumnavigate each day. There are jacuzzi’s, slopes and steps and the kids loved it.
We really loved this hotel and cannot recommend highly enough. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the lovely staff.

I stayed for 3 nights. It offer the best view and facilities. The food is good and its beach side restaurant is just great. We had nice party over there. The sea water recede atleast 500 meters in the morning and offer hit the resort at night. It is about 8 kms from city. It is typically different from thailand. The lagune is just marvellous.

My two nights at the Sheraton Hua Hin went by quickly because of how fantastic the property was. The resort was beautiful even though the beach was mediocre. The large pool made up for the mediocre beach as it stretched from one end of the hotel to the other. Our Ocean View Suite was also great. It was large, spacious, and very comfortable. The hotel did a fantastic job with accommodating our requests. We also received some great perks as well. Overall, the service was what stood out the most at this hotel. I was surprised, because the service had to be that good to surpass the beauty of the resort. However, the internet was very poor. I spent more time attempting to connect to the network as opposed to actually surfing the net.

Great place to stay, whether for couples, as a family, with friends or even on your own. The resort has everything that you need and at great value. It's absolutely beautiful and the staff are friendly and accessible and are able there to put you at ease. The format of the whole resort is ideal, providing you with all the amenities you need while allowing for a quiet and private stay. There is live music provided almost every evening to relax you and your choice of wonderful eating venues, all offering you a large selection of excellent food that I have had the chance to try. I look forward to staying there every chance I get when visiting Thailand. It's a convenient shuttle ride from Bangkok.

I spent 2 nights here. It was a great stay. I spent most of the time swimming and walking along the pool. If you have kids who love swimming..this is totally the place! The rooms with pool access are more expensive...I prefer the ones on the 2nd floor or in the back since its more quiet and yeah.. cheaper hahah. However I didnt get the welcome fruit basket though..just knew i was supposed to get when we were about to checkout. The hotel allow checkout until noon..but at the time there was a blackout for almost 2 hours, so i called the reception and asked for a late checkout. They were really nice..with all the nice talk apologize and everything. All in all i looove the hotel..wi definitely be there again!
