Good service, fair prices, excellent location, and food to die for. Ordered the cream pumpkin soup and it's ones of the best I've tasted. If I'm back in chiang rai, I'll definitely come back

Okay so I searched and searched on tripadvisor for a spark of inspiration on what I would be eating for dinner. Nothing. No inspiration. So I settled with saving some cash and getting tomyum at the night market. But I had to pee SO bad first! I walked over to the toilet and dug through my purse for 2 baht. NOTHING! Agh!!!!

So I saw it as a sign to find the first restaurant I saw to eat there and use their toilet and it just so happened to be Connect Cafe. So in short, it was my bladder that led me to this lovely place. I was greeted right away with friendly smiles and I set myself down at a table and ran to the bathroom. Phew! What a relief. Literally. Okay, next I was greeted by the store manager, KitKat, the CUTEST little papillon (?i think? Even though I'm aspiring to be a veterinarian, I still don't have my dog breeds down!) anyways, KitKat and I became best friends right away. He would wander around between myself and the other two solo people eating in here to get some love and hopefully a little bite to eat (YA know, to make sure the food is tasting alright haha!)

I decided on a more vegetarian approach this evening in order to "cleanse" all the greasy crap I've been devouring in the previous days. I order fresh vegetarian spring rolls that came with this AMAZING sweet and sour-like dipping sauce. I quite literally could've drank that sauce from a cup. But the real prize is what I ordered as my main dish: seasonal salad with fruit. Sounds pretty typical, but I have never had something taste so fresh and the dressing I chose knocked me off my feet. The Japanese style sesame dressing is to DIE for. My god. I wanted to lick the plate clean dry.

I will DEFINITELY be coming back (just to see KitKat...and perhaps grab another delicious bite to eat❤️)

Had some spring rolls, rice/chicken dishes and some beers. Spring rolls were abit tasteless.

A guy came in asking to use the toilet. Staff said no and said it was only for customers. The guy seemed to really have to go to the toilet and said he would pay, but the staff refused. The man had to leave the cafe.

The cafe was almost empty, the staff should have helped a guy in need in my opinion..

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your compliment and review, we really appreciate it.

Since we are located opposite the old bus station, there are many people per day who want to use our facility. If we allow everyone to use our toilet, it will become dirty and un-sanitize as you can see in the public toilet. Besides, there are other public toilets in the bus station, that everyone can use freely. Therefore, due to the toilet cleanliness maintenance, this facility is for our guests only.

We will continue trying our best to make our guests satisfied with our food, drinks, and services in every aspect as we possibly can.

Escaping the heat, we stopped for lunch at Connect Cafe. From the moment we stepped in until we left, everything seemed quite familiar and predictable even though it was our first visit. At times it can be quite comforting to arrive to an environment that doesn't provoke thought or needs extra effort to get an order placed and food delivered. And then for the food not to challenge your taste buds, but to just taste like you would have expected anyway. On the other hand, this may almost feel too comfortable to be part of an exciting travel adventure. Reliable? Sure! Unsurprising? A little...
