This is a very nice complex, with all you would expect of a wat. It has additions which made it a little more pleasant. The gardens had figures of Thai people at work which gave it a more down to earth feel. It is worth going out of your way to see.

Came across this temple by chance, it was completely deserted and very peaceful. The giant gold Buddha is worth a visit and the temple is very ornate

After visiting more than a dozen temples in Thailand, something has to be special to make a new one stand out. The size of the buddha statue in this temple is very large, possibly the largest I saw in 2 weeks.

This relatively new temple (construction started 1844 and finished 1944) is located on Jed Yod Road south of the Clock Tower.
It is quite interesting because the white chedi at the rear of the main building has seven arrows around it (Jed Yod means seven peaks). A large covered verandah decorated with a floral theme is at the entrance to the main hall.
Inside you will find an enormous golden Buddha surrounded by ornate walls and beautiful murals. The wooden ceiling is quite impressive too, painted in a vibrant red with gold patterns. Entrance is free and photography is allowed inside.
