Hotel is in a great location, restaurants and bars literally a short walk away and the corner from the night market. Opted for the basic room and was glad I did. Friend paid for the next one up and aside from a slightly wider bathroom and slightly larger room, there wasn't much difference. In fact, the layout of my room was a lot nicer! This hotel is frequented by a lot of tour groups with daily coach drop offs and maybe this is why they haven't bothered to keep high standards. The cleaner obviously does a quicky job with hoovering in the rooms as can be seen by the dirt on the carpet behind the doors. The bedding, while clean, is obviously very old and worn. There is free wifi in the hotel - in the lobby - but only if you sit literally a few feet away from the reception! You have the option to purchase 50 hours of wifi in your room, however this is available in select rooms only. I asked to purchase the hours (100 baht for 50 hours) and they tried to sell me the password - when I asked which network I should use and then pointed out that I'd already tried to connect to it in my room but it hadn't asked for a password I then got told that the service was down and it might work tomorrow - even though they'd...Hotel is in a great location, restaurants and bars literally a short walk away and the corner from the night market. To top it off, when asking the concierge to arrange a taxi to the airport I was given a slip of paper with a local number and told to ring them myself on my mobile - the taxi agent didn't speak very good English so I struggled to book it (in the end I found the details of the taxi service I'd got from the airport into town and rang them, good thing too as the other company didn't turn up!).More
