“renovated Buffet dinning area”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

The hotel has an advantage of having located in the best area in Hatyai, other than that the hotel is an average 3 star hotel. However, there is an improvement at its Buffet dinning area. The buffet area is extensively renovated at the original 33rd floor. It has a beautiful colour theme of black and white decor including the chairs and tables. The management has decided to move back the dinning area to the top floor of the hotel to allow guests to enjoy its excellent evening and night view of the city. The buffet spread is good and money worth for the senior citizens having to pay Baht 119 only.

Room Tip: rooms are high floor with good view

The location of Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel is strategic. Very convenient as the day market & night market are just outside the plaza. A lot of foot massage centres nearby there. The hotel is clean & the price is acceptable. It was an enjoyable journey!

Due to no opening windows, rooms were somewhat stuffy every time we entered. Aircon okay, but not as effective as in our previous hotel in Phuket. As we stayed on the 27th floor, it felt like we spent half our holiday in the elevator (which does not stop on all floors)! We did have a good view of the city, though, and our rooms were nice and quiet. Bath water could be hotter. More space needed in bedroom to hang out wet/damp articles, as they do not dry out in bathroom overnight. WiFi was a great convenience. Although we were supplied with drinking water daily, there was no tea/coffee/kettle in the rooms. Breakfast got boring after a few days - no variation, not even in fruits (which are plentiful in Thailand!).

I checked into this hotel upon arrival in Hat Yai. Located in the prime tourist center in Hat Yai, the hotel sits above the podium of Lee Garden Plaza. Lee Garden Plaza was in the news last year due to some kinda explosion. Management has taken the right step in ensuring the customer's safety. You need to pass through a tight security upon entering the car park and plaza. So nothing to worry.

Reception is at the tenth floor. The main restaurant too is located on the same floor. Although there is a poster saying " No Pork Served", I am not sure of whether all food served here are "halal", you need to exercise your own jurisdiction.

Room was very spacious but the condition does not commensurate with the room rates. No kettle was provided although my room was a deluxe room. As a consolation, TV3 Malaysia can be viewed on the TV sets here.

Halal food are available from restaurants nearby and also from street hawkers across the street. Just in front of the plaza is the morning market which comes alive until about 11.30 am everyday. Shops selling souvenirs, t-shirts etc can be found around this plaza.

Really disappointed with the hotel condition except its location that we decided to check in to the hotel across the street the next day.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel.

Was at this hotel early Dec 2013. Check-in this hotel because of its prime location only. when we step out of the lift, the corridor to rooms have a kind of smell (maybe due to wet carpet). room with old furniture. shower head not working properly with lots of nozzle block where it end up need to put a towel over the shower head to shower. If not the shower water spray will pierce our skin like laser. though management will upgrade the hotel after the 'incident' but clearly NO.

Room Tip: Avoid this hotel unless is a shopaholic.

The value per night for such hotel isn't worth it. The place is too old and no hot water given. Takes forever to receive the hot flask as well. Clothes hanger only got 2 and u wouldn't want to use the wardrode due to the smell. Gym still need to pay. Breakfast buffet is always the same old food everyday except for the rice or noodle will be different. But at least it doesn't taste bad. Only good thing is it is convenient to shopping areas. Security check is compulsory but what I see is just for show(open bag and glance, that's all).

Stay at Lee Garden plaza hotel for a night. Feels like the hotel overloaded with people. Rooms are getting old , no hot water as well, and when contacted , they request for wait until the hot water come which is never up to 20 min running the tap. Kind of disapointed. The hotel charge for a bouffe dinner 170BHT , which is feel worth. The food quality is not that good. The location of the hotel is in mid center , which is a good news. Other than that nothing much interested over there. Tight checking every time you enter the hotel or the plaza.
