“An average budget hotel”

Its location is pretty good, if you arrive in Hat Yai by train. The room is pretty spacious, and it has a bare minimalistic approach. There are no fridge and wardrobe in the room, except for the bed, a chair and a table, a stool, and a television attached to the wall. There was a receptionist that was very polite and helpful with directions. However, in general, the hotel's services are quite quantifiable; every extra effort / service comes with a price. For e.g. leaving the bag in the help desk for a few hours after checking out requires extra charges.

despite its location, i cant find anything good about this hotel.

i checked in with my untidy look; wrinkling t-shirt, a pair of faded blue jeans and fuzzy haired face, i believed one of their security guys tried squeezing in a pact elevator for some unknown reasons with me (???). that was kinda annoying for me.

i stayed in 9th floor and my room was in front of the elevator. i could hear people walking/talking in/out as well as the elevator bell for most of the time.

the bath room, the tub worked okay but the shower was broken. as i got back home from business meeting late, i didnt bother to call for a new room as i needed to get up early for an early meeting the next day.

This is Absolute Minimalist Facility, be prepared to pay for whatever additional you expect other than your bed, 1 pc of towel & 1 tube of shower gel (if it’s available in the hotel inventory).
No dining outlet is available within the premise, even if you opt for breakfast to be included (additional charge) it will come in a pre-pack form. No need to worry about it because decent eateries just steps away from the Main Hotel Entrance.
As overall the facility is nice except the elevator (during my stay) which was a bit damage. Hotel is quite clean but the Room Service I would say was POOR. Do you expect that somebody will only come and do your room at 4.00 o’clock in the afternoon even if after you requested for it before you went out for breakfast at 8.00 in the morning and 3 more calls after you’re back from lunch at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
Do not expect any additional facility e.g. mini fridge or complimentary drinking water in the room, kettle or 3 in 1 sachet for you. As I did mentioned, the in room facility is absolute minimalist even for the star rated hotel.
Anyway the in room facility is still in decent condition & the wifi coverage (make sure get it purchased earlier if you need it) was satisfactory but still long way to go from excellent.
I would say if you just required a place to sleep & get yourself fresh for the next day I would say it’s money well spend but if you expect nice venue for perfect holiday, I would not recommend it unless you’re prepared to bring your own things to pamper yourself inclusive of your F&B ;-)

Room Tip: As General Rooms is Good but do not expect any additional facilities. No Smoking Room option availa...

We only stayed 2 nights here but were happy. It has a good central location. You pay extra for towels (??!) wifi and television. The room was clean. The bathroom was modern and clean. We stayed on the 6th floor and found it to be quiet enough. Hardly heard other guests. A little noise from the street below but no problems. Reception staff were very helpful. There is a man in reception to help you arrange visits to attractions or onward journeys. We got him to arrange our onward journey to Krabi and later felt that we had been charged too much so shop around if you use him.
It was my first visit to Thailand. Hat Yai was an interesting place to visit. Much less touristy than the usual Thai tourist spots of course which we liked. Plenty of markets and restaurants and shops for a few days/nights at least.

Room Tip: Higher up away from the road should be quieter.

This hotel is relatively new or recently renovated. It is very clean. They give you a towel and toiletry at check in and you are supposed to return the towel at check out. They provide late check out but at a fee. And they are very serious about that. The electricity shut off at the exact check out time. But that is the formula by which they operate. This hotel chain offers good clean rooms at prices that is so affordable. The location is not bad, walking distance to the train station and major tourist areas in town. For a buck, a tut tut will take you anywhere in town. They have blossomed into many cities in that part of Asia and Europe. It is a traveler's hotel, you pay for exactly what you get, no more no less. If you are on business, you do not want to stay in a hotel like this. You want the frills that this hotel cannot provide because it is at the company expense.

We spend there just one night, because we had to extend our visas and cross thai-malaysian border. Hat yai was the closest to do that. It was pleasnt stay. Nearby you'll find a lot of restaurnts. We've eaten one of the best cooked fish ever. That tune hotel - always good. Recommend.
