If I was not mistaken, Aloha Hotel is a refurbished hotel
So, everything for now is clean and 'new'
Counter staff is friendly. Main lady supervisor speaks good English
Security guy in basement too was very friendly and helpful to direct us to proper parking bays
Bell Boy too was patiently waiting for our stuffs to be unloaded from our bikes when we were unpacking
Room was decently clean and tastefully furbished for a mid-budget hotel. Again we wished for an in-room safe we could utilise when we go out shopping.
As we were put on 10th floor (which is a non-smoking floor), we could not hear any traffic noise
Bed was good for a good night sleep.
There a value for money massage center on 3rd floor for those needing a good clean massage. 1.45 hrs for 300Baht is good value for money for a traditional thai massage
To main shopping area, it is only a 5 min walk to central shopping area or about 1.5km to the morning market. Robinson Shopping Center is just a 2 min walk away.
We didn't try the in house cafe for breakfast as there was an excellent joint serving Thai porridge just next door. Though a bit pricey (typical for Hat Yai standard), it is good to start the morning. Alternatively, there a noodle shop just 2 doors away.
For those into Thai Amulets and stuff like that, the famous under-bridge stalls hawking all things on Thai Buddhism, it's just a block away or about 5 min walk
Wifi in room and lobby area was excellent
Local Malaysian newspapers are provided in lobby to catch up on local Malaysian news
I would recommend this hotel to those willing to spend RM130-150 for a night stay
