“value for money hotel”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

If I was not mistaken, Aloha Hotel is a refurbished hotel
So, everything for now is clean and 'new'

Counter staff is friendly. Main lady supervisor speaks good English
Security guy in basement too was very friendly and helpful to direct us to proper parking bays
Bell Boy too was patiently waiting for our stuffs to be unloaded from our bikes when we were unpacking

Room was decently clean and tastefully furbished for a mid-budget hotel. Again we wished for an in-room safe we could utilise when we go out shopping.
As we were put on 10th floor (which is a non-smoking floor), we could not hear any traffic noise
Bed was good for a good night sleep.

There a value for money massage center on 3rd floor for those needing a good clean massage. 1.45 hrs for 300Baht is good value for money for a traditional thai massage

To main shopping area, it is only a 5 min walk to central shopping area or about 1.5km to the morning market. Robinson Shopping Center is just a 2 min walk away.

We didn't try the in house cafe for breakfast as there was an excellent joint serving Thai porridge just next door. Though a bit pricey (typical for Hat Yai standard), it is good to start the morning. Alternatively, there a noodle shop just 2 doors away.

For those into Thai Amulets and stuff like that, the famous under-bridge stalls hawking all things on Thai Buddhism, it's just a block away or about 5 min walk

Wifi in room and lobby area was excellent
Local Malaysian newspapers are provided in lobby to catch up on local Malaysian news

I would recommend this hotel to those willing to spend RM130-150 for a night stay

Room Tip: Pick non-smoking floors if you are not a smoker as other rooms ciggie laden smell

980 baht room normally stay next door at kings hotel but thought I would try this new hotel.Walk in discount 980 baht gave me a room on the top floor nice view wifi worked well 50 channel cable maybe 5 english channels movie news sport.Room is new big and clean the only problem is you can hear people in the next room if they are loud apart from that 200 m from the train station 300 m to the center of hatyai maybe you can find somewhere cheaper but its worth paying a little more for this hotel

Hotel was ok, located along busy roads, so we got a room that is not facing the road, 710A
Spacious room, bath, separate shower and very clean. Beds were comfortable, fridge, blow dryer and a kettle, no safe. Wifi worked ok, but wasn't stable, lost connection quite often.
In the morning no warm water, reception was not really helpful and kept on pushing that house keeping had to be inside our room to feel the cold water? Called 4 times, no solution, except for a banging housekeeping on my door. What are they going to do, ask the facet to give warm water? Simply don't get it. After 10:00 the hot water came back, so we guess that everybody takes a shower in the morning and they simply run out after 8 o'clock. The night before we had warm water. Very noisy, a lot of street noise, and we had a room with a connecting door, you could hear every single sound of your neighbors! we even could hear someone unzip their pants! When they took a shower, it was like a train stopped in our room. If you walk in the corridor you can literally listen to the conversations. We changed rooms, one without a connecting door, a smaller room with street noise. There the ac wasn't working properly, was on 15 degrees, but de room didn't get cool in room 712.
Location is not bad, lot of restaurants nearby and shops. The hotel offers a day tour for 1200THB pp. Ridiculous expensive for what you get, so is everything here in Hat Yai! Have been traveling quite a while through Thailand, but this town has a bad vibe, local crapy tuk-tuk's and motorcycles made an agreement to charge foreigners 15x the normal rate. 600 thb for 4km. Or 400 thb pp to go to the floating market. From the airport to Hat Yai it is 200 THB, in a real taxi ,that trip is around 25 minutes. ALso the food is of a less quality and is twice as expensive. Overall this hotel or Hat Yai, I can not recommend

Room Tip: Rooms with a connecting door are extremely noisy. In room 712 the ac didn't work properly In ro...

My first stay in this hotel in conjunction of Hatyai Marathon 2014.

The room is clean & tidy. However, i notice the room are lack of amenities (free coffee / tea), the come with writing desk but without chair, closet very close to the bed (the closet door can knock onto the bed when open) while the room are very spacious which they can relocate the closet. And internet connection bit poor (we stayed at 12th floor). I believe these are the things to look into.

We received pleasant service from front office crew who are friendly & helpful. Walking distance to shopping center (Robinson) and other shopping district within central area. Although it is pretty distance away if compare to other hotels, but no issue for me. In overall, it worth for next visit :)

Room Tip: there is no safety box in the room but you can place at front office.

I enjoyed my stay, with a few English channels on TV, enough to keep me entertained.
Room was just nice, good air conditioning and quiet, you get your peaceful moment.
Toilet is clean without bath tub, that's fine with nice hot shower.
Beautiful lobby, big, bright and airy. Front office staff was polite and obliging.
The hotel is reasonably new, but they have been maintaining it well.
I took the superior room, single, it's quite a comfort.

Reasonable price to pay for the comfort. No sight of prostitute walking around.
Located slightly out of the tourist belt, so you don't get much noise at all.

I'll come back to this hotel again, if I'm back in Hat Yai.

Room Tip: Choose the higher floor, better view.

opened in 2013 this hotel is located very close to the hat yai railway station and the robinson store.

a definite pro for this property is the cleanliness all around.

it is walkable distance frorm the railway station; hence very suitable for those using the train services for arrival or departure.

the staff, as in most hotels, are polite and helpful.

there are a couple of matters which i found lacking. the size of the rooms is very compact and secondly the area around this hotel becomes very quiet in the evenings as most of the acttivities are centred around the Odeon and Lee Garden Plaza areas. this, in iteselfm, is not a serious setback as the activity areas are eachable within ten minutes walk.

Kim Yong market is reachable within twelve to fifteen minutes casual walk.

the tariff is very reasonable and the hotel is definitely a good option for sleeping over.

Price is reasonable as the strategic location to walk to the market, railway station and restaurant maybe. However, what I found that is the coffee cup is not clean and there are a few black ants in the room. Overall is ok. Breakfast could be found beside that hotel ( Pork Porridge and Pork Noodles). Staff Service is good when I ask for travel adaptor. ( They provided me 2 adaptor. ^^)
