“The worst ever!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2014 via mobile

This is without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Why did I stay you ask, I was on a short visa i with some ex-pat friends who organised the trip. It was dirty, the shower did not work, the telephone did not work, and on one occasion the water was stone cold, also had lots of ants!!!! The only thing in it's favour was we only paid 840 baht for three nights. Tip do not try to book at the hotel lobby - visit the travel agency two doors down and you save considerably. See photo of lounge chair in main lobby and back of bathroom door.

Located in the touristic center of Hatyai, just around the corner of Lee Garden Plaza. You can make your choice if you want the old block ( of course cheaper rates) or new block. I concur with alvincmc that the ceiling board have marked stains. But if you need a roof for a good night sleep, rooms in the old block is sufficient. I have no other complains about the rooms. These rooms in the old block are categorized as "standard room" and "deluxe rooms". TV channels may be limited but for us Malaysians, we are able to view TV3 Malaysia.

Breakfast are not included, you have to pay an extra 150baht per pax. I did not have breakfast in the hotel so I can't comment on its quality and variety.

For Muslims, eating is not a problem as halal restaurants and street hawkers are available around the main street and nearby Lee Garden Plaza and Centara. But I would like to warn Muslims when walking towards the hotel main entrance from the main street to be aware that on the right side is a place for roasting baby piglets. You can avoid this path by entering the front door on the left which goes through the hotel lounge. This lounge is on the old block facing the main street.

No problem with the reception as they speak good English. Parking is limited and the security guy in charged at the parking lot is rude. Otherwise, I would have enjoyed the stay better.

Room Tip: Request rooms on the new block for better quality but be prepared to pay an extra 400 baht.

My first impression of the hotel was not too bad. The exterior of the building looked okay from outside and the lobby was pretty decent too. I was shocked upon exiting the lift that led me to my room. The corridor, dark and dimly lit, no air conditioning at all. The room, very dated and old furniture, sofa seats stained. The ceiling panels full of watermarks and about to fell off. Carpet stained. Aircond is very noisy and in room safe is not working.

The bathroom is just totally disgusting with rust and mold stains all over the bathtub, basin and floor. Basin and taps not working properly and not even fixed. Beddings and mattress too seems worn out too.

For the price I've paid THB1200 I would have expected at least a clean and well maintained room. It is my worst hotel stay ever. Totally disappointed and this will definitely be my first and last time staying at the hotel. I would strongly advise anyone against staying at this hotel as this has seriously ruined my holidays.

Room Tip: don't bother staying here

As many reviewers said, the only good thing of this hotel is its strategic location. Other than that, room is average and during my stay with bunch of friends, we only able to check in to our rooms around 3pm due to housekeeping was not done on time due insufficient staff.
I think we can get better rooms for the same price paid for this hotel.

This hotel averagely good for short stay. This hotel location very strategic. Opposite if this hotel is Lee Garden Plaza and Centera Plaza. Within a 5 mins walking distance you can reach their Odean Shopping Centre.

I had book a deluxe room for 23/11. The hotel room a bit old and we can see some ceiling board with water tar. The bath tab looks dirty and a little bit broken. But they are lenience to kids, all kids below 12 years old are free for accommodation with sharing bed.

This time we wanted to try different hotels in Hatyai and decided to stay at the Regency after trying other hotels were fully booked. We stayed at the deluxe room, which is a huge room with old decorations. The hotel is an old hotel after all, the room design and furnishing did not have much update. The location is just next to Lee Garden Plaza, which is great as most of the markets & mall you can explore within walking distance. There is also never ending supply of tuk tuks, thus, making going anywhere convenient.

The hotel had a few facilities and a cafe, we did not try as our time were spent shopping outside so could not provide much insight on that.

The hotel room is dated, and the TV was a small 29 inch CRT with a good mix of local and international channels. There is a safe in the room, which is handy to keep valuables. The shower hot water was easy to control, however, the water seams to take a long time to heat up in the morning. Basic toiletries were provided.

There is 3 lifts servicing the rooms and we did not had to wait long for lifts.

There is no Free Wifi with this hotel. I asked the staff and was greeted with simply don't have.
