Very quiet place recommended for recovering holidays. Enjoyable infrastructure within an arboretum. Excellent Thai food. Dedicated and enthusiastic staff very well managed. Spa & high quality massage provided in a nice environment.

It a lovely property that was highly recommended by a friend of ours. The service was extremely prompt. We simply loved the pool. The two bedroom pool villa was very nice, though the pool at the villa was more like a jacuzzi.

My wife and I celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in Asara villa and suites. We spent 17 days there and had a special and most memorable experience.

The hotel and staffs were very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were provided with a welcome drink and a cold towel to refresh ourselves. Check in was swift and efficient. We were delighted to have an upgrade to a Deluxe pool villa and were pleasantly surprised with a fruit basket and an anniversary gift that greeted us in our villa. On our anniversary evening, our bed was beautifully decorated with flower garlands and the bathroom lit up with candles while the spacious bathtub was filled with leaves of roses. The ambiance of a romantic evening was definitely there! We have got to have a complimentary bottle of wine sent to our villa as a treat before dinner.

We met Mr. Ben Angsaengtham (the general manager), who told us about his story and hobby to collect plants and trees from all over the world for the hotel garden and the lovely paths from your room to the lobby, the swimming pool or one of the restaurants or the spa, so you could always walk in the shadow. It is such a delight to walk around those gardens, lagoons and little water plays. We enjoy the swimmigpool and our morning walk on the beach.

We had a great breakfast every morning. The have excellent coffee and a lovely array of Thai food, made-to-order omelettes, eggs and waffles, breads/pastries, fresh fruit, juices, and all the other Western usuals.
Special thanks to Mr. Nikichai (hi Chai), who was never to busy to have a friendly word for us. And all the man and women who worked in the Kampu restaurant were so friendly and helpfull, we loved to go there in the morning for a wonderful breakfast.

Several times in the evening we had a romantic diner in restaurant Kampu by Design or the Asara Thai Bistro. The food was excellent, particularly the modern Thai food which was also great value. Prices are quite reasonable specially when compared to the exquisite quality.

The complementary afternoon tea or coffee from 3pm to 4pm is a nice touch.
All day through, you could go to the library to internet.

The resort is located 10 minutes from Central Hua Hin and apparently 200 baht is the standard fare by taxi and 150 bath by tuk-tuk to or from the resort. The resort does offer free a mini bus shuttle service at 6.00 pm and 21.30 pm to the centre. Hua Hin is a great town, lots of food in the Night Market and many restaurants, which is just a view minutes walk from where the hotel bus drops you off (the clock tower).
We arranged a great trip to Petchaburi and Bangkok. We enjoy them very much.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to ‘Joy’ and ‘Wanvisa’ for assisting us and all the staff at Asara for making our stay a special and memorable one.
If you ever visit Thailand, than visit the Asara Hotel in Hua Hin. It is one of the best !!!

My boyfriend and i just arrived from Asara Villa & Suite and we are still impressed and amazed with the Hotel (incl. staff, landscape,f&b,rooms and with the whole stay itself)among many other little details that made our stay one of the best ever.
If you have a few days only and you don't want to go all the way until the islands, i highly recommend Hua Hin and definitely this hotel for a complete relaxing getaway!
The swimming pool is beautiful, and the whole area offers you a complete relaxing and spoilt time (there are 3 pools, but the main one rests by the beach).
The hotel offers activities (like Yoga early in the morning, thai cooking classes, tai chi...) and also day trips. By 3pm you will have the complimentary "coffee break" by the library(with computers, tv, books and dvds rentals) where you can enjoy whatever coffee or tea you would like to have.
Nothing had bothered or annoyed us. The staff are absolutely caring and friendly. As being in the hotel industry you really feel how connected they are with the guests incl. follow up, guest centric and always a genuine smile on their faces. The Happy Hours at the pool bar are truly a must...you can't get enough of the beautiful sunset and atmosphere surrounding you. The menu choices, including the drinks&cocktails list are impressive and fabulous..Prices are quite reasonable specially when compared to the exquisite quality. You have a diversity of choices regarding the breakfast buffet, you can even ask for a glass of champagne, among many other things that you can't find at the buffet.
We will definitely return and we already recommend it to friends and family. It is a very simple drive from Bkk (2h.5). If you have a late flight (departing let's say at 21 like we had) you can leave the hotel by 16pm, after enjoying the last rays of sun in the beautiful pool.
You can visit the hotel website and always be updated withe the seasonal and off season packages to make your stay even more memorable, like we have seen tables being placed by the beach deck or pool deck for a romantic dinner, surrounded by candles and a beautiful night sky.

Just arrived back from the Asara Villa & Suite, having booked a Deluxe Pool Villa. The hotel is only 3 years old, and before I go into details, I have to say that parts of the furniture and decor are becoming tired already. The chairs in the dining room overlooking the beach are wide and deep and very uncomfotable, staff have to put 2 big cushions behind you for support, they are also a stained which tells me they are not that good a quality..
That said the place is fantstic, and staff truly wonderful. A message for the manager though, you need to train the staff to understand English a little better, some could not understand a breakfast order for tomatoes even when it was pointed out on the menue. It became quite a fun thing in the end, and on our last day they understood what a tomatoe was-it was a tomato (american). Very funny.
Hints: The hotel now supplies a mini bus into town for free twice a day, 6pm and 8pm, returning at 8.30pm and 10.30pm. Do ask for the free Champagne at breakfast it is not overly advertised, but is available.
Hua Hin is a great town, lots of food in the Night Market, which is just 1 minute walk from where the hotel bus drops you off (the clock tower)
This was a fantastic holiday and my comments about the hotel are intended as contructive critisism rather than complaint. A truly lovely place.

Researching and then booking this resort online had definitely inflated expectations, but it managed to meet and even surpass them in all ways. The large resort is laid out in wonderfully landscaped form throughout, no concrete mass to mar the natural beauty anywhere ! We had a one bed pool villa which was truly delightful, a sheer joy and a haven of luxury and peace. There was the outdoor rain shower as well as the plunge pool to enjoy, and we were like a kid in a candy store not knowing what to do first. We even loved walking down the greenery laden pathway to the beachfront, where the pool and restaurant is also located. The chairs at Kampu, the all-day eatery, are the widest and most relaxing seating we have ever seen. In fact its a trademark of Asara which surprisingly I didn't see in previous reviews. Each part of Asara is a sanctuary of class and taste. The staff provides stupendous and totally unobtrusive service. The breakfast buffet, though very nice, was supplemented with a menu from which you could order additional dishes at your sweet will... the chef on my request made me a delightful egg florentine, a first at any resort for me. It was a pity that the resort seemed sparsely occupied, though for us it meant peace and privacy throughout. We rose early and watched the sun rise in the horizon, a sight well worth losing a couple of hours sleep. The beachfront has a profusion of deck chairs as well as striking beds on swings suspended from thick logs. Asara will have a special place in our hearts, and we definitely plan to come back soon.

Excellent hotel with great staff. We had a four day break there and will return for a longer period next time. We had a pool villa but would recommend any of the rooms as they have two really nice and very big pools. This is a five star hotel and you can see why with the attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel.
