“Too Close to Nature”

We had the 2 bedroom villa with private pool. It is a good size villa with kitchen facilities and a good size living room. The pool size is adequate when it is for your private use. The communal pool is very small, just slightly larger than the private pool at our villa. The hotel is similar to the Six Sense resort but the facilities probably a grade below. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. If you do not have your own transportation, this hotel is about 20 minutes drive from downtown Hua Hin. Although there is hotel shuttle, it is still a bit remote. What I didn't like about the rooms are that the bedroom doors are clear glass whichs mean there is limited privacy. The other problem is that there are lots of bugs and although the hotel said they fumigate the rooms every week, there are always some small bugs inside the rooms. Even though they sweep the front door every day, there are always dead bugs in the morning or when we get back at night. For people who like living the natural envirnoment, this should not be too much of a problem. There is a huge insect net above the bed to catch dead bugs. Even though they are just small bugs, it was not my favourite thing about the hotel. The hotel is near the hillside but have what is called Dhevan Dara Beach Club that you can go and use their plot of land on the beach. It is ok, but does not have very nice facilities for you to change and shower. It is basically renting some restaurant's back area on the beach for toilet and change area. The part of the beach is also only so-so.
Having said that, if you are going during peak period (eg: Christmas and New Year), it is hard pressed to find a decent rate at a beach front property at Hua Hin and the Dhevan Dara may be a suitable choice for you.
There is nothing really wrong with this property and some people would probably consider it not too bad. However, for me, I would prefer something closer to town. And if looking at a property out of the way, then probably the Six Senses as it is a bit nicer.

staff is excellent, they try to fullfill anything u want. i booked the cheapest room in this hotel but price still 96$. But they give us the room which is near the main pool like 4 walks. The library is awsome. View is so nice. Bicycle is free. Table tennis and basket ball available. We got the problem for shower and bath which they can't fix, so they offer upgrad to pool side villa instead!!! Even i'm not asking for upgrade. Excellent answer!!!
thanks for defect baht room. Recommend

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 year old and our parents in their 2 bedroom pool villa for 4 nights in Aug during the golf festival in Hua Hin. The hotel is at best a 4 star property and still some constructions going on. While there are certain shortfalls: the hotel is about 25 mins away from town (but with shuttle service to town); the english standard of some staff not too good, limited restaurant choices, we were very happy with the particular villa we stayed in. It was big.... 2 bedroom + living/dining area. It is spacious, simple but nicely decorated, and has high ceilings which makes it even feel more spacious. The enclosed, but naturally lit bathroom with rainshower is sooooo cool. It's almost like taking an outdoor shower but without the fear of getting insect bites. The private pool is actually big enough for swimming, not just a plunge pool. Quiet and all the privacy we wanted but help was always prompt when we called the front desk. The well equipped kitchenette made it ideal for families with children and elderly. We cooked breakfast in the villa every morning and we could just eat right by the pool. They have lent us a big BBQ stove and we cooked our own delicious seafood BBQ dinner for two nights!!

They have a public swimming pool which is not too big.... I guess that's because most villas have their own pool.

We were also very pleased with the massages we got. A bit pricier than those shops you find in town, but still cheaper than the other hotels there and they were really good and skilled. The spa owner is also super nice.

Considering a similar sized villa with private swimming pool of a 5 star property will cost us at least twice as much, this hotel offers pretty much all we need at a very reasonable price and we will definitely come back.

The place and room are well decorated. My private pool are prefect for me and my wife w/2 small kids while the communal pool outside are prefect for party with my other 2 groups of family members.

All staffs are so friendly that they would do almost everything to fulfill your need. but they are quite fresh and need some more experienced hotel management to guide them.

Room are well equipped but some of the villas at the back of the resort still under construction. Im sure next year when I go back it will be all done and be more prefect than it is now.

This is THE place to get away from crowdy and noisy tourist area but still only 25-30 minutes away by car.

  • Liked — the cozy bed and the outdoor bath tub.
