“Worth a visit, but not everyone's cup of tea.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

We went to see the Huay Mongkol Temple after visiting the Hutsadin Elephant Foundation as they both in the same direction away from Hua Hin town centre.

It is a very important spiritual site for Buddhists. The detail and size of the structure is immense. We didn't stay for long, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

“Mr. Monk rocks!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

"One of the greatest Buddhist monks of Thailand, Luang Poo Tuad was the famous monk who legend told of an event in which he stepped on the sea water and changed it into un-salted water"

This place is legendary, those who do not appreciate it are either lost or choose to be ignorant. You do not have to be religious to understand this place.

Walk around an elephant statue for luck...give a chicken to the admiral...thank Mr. Monk for all the good things in life and watch your life change!

Walk over the bridge and feed the fish...eat fresh coconut ice cream...purchase a monk charm and carry the goodness with you.

If you cannot appreciate this place, stay in McDonald's or something like that, where you can remain in blissful ignorance!

“Not my choice.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

I'm not really into these things [religion in any form] and don't get it! I'd little choice as I was the lone minority in the vehicle that would happily miss such. No insult intended and you're into such things go for it. For me, it was an hour of my life that I'll never see again visiting a very large ornament of someone with a unbelievable story.

“A very good experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

After a morning with the elephants we went onto the temple.

It was very interesting to see an alternative ceremony.

It was well presented and very well attended.
