What a great value, spotlessly clean boutique hotel in the centre of all the action! But don't get me wrong, civilised action! Right next to the night market where we had amazing dinners every night. Staff at My Place could not have been nicer. Breakfast was substantial and presented with genuine Thai hospitality. We could not have faulted our stay in this great value hotel in the centre of a gem of a town.

Room Tip: Try for a room in the front of the hotel

We had 3 rooms for 1 night in June so we can compared the difference. While the 2 other rooms are ok, mine was not. Mine comes with a cathode ray tube tv, which is a NO NO in this age & time. The other 2 rooms had flat screen tv. So I didn't enjoy my world cup as much as I like to. Also the deco is slightly better in the other 2 rooms. But the biggest beef is the lack of remote control for the air-cond in all the rooms. You need to stand on a chair to reach the air-cond control unit which is locate next to the ceiling. I doubt many would like to climb out of the bed in the middle of the night to adjust the temperature. other then this, breakfast is fine and staff are friendly and always have a ready smile (land of smile isnt it). Location is good, very close to the night market and short walking distance to the beach. Get the air-cond remote done and a piece of soap would help too.

This is a small hotel in a very convenient spot in Hua Hin. The most important thing is it is very clean with modern facilities, lovely staff, and nice cooked breakfast. There is a tiny pool on the rooftop with great views over Hua Hin. It is a brilliant option if you can't afford the fancy expensive hotels - a snip at a fraction of the price!
Central position and easy to walk from here to most places or a short taxi ride if you prefer.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Scrupulously clean rooms and public areas. Large spa pool on the roof with views across the city and into the hills. Easy taxi drive to pretty much anywhere in the city. The kings summer residence is also an easy quick drive away too.. Good quality if limited breakfast, BUT great coffee. Will definitely be using this hotel again.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet day and night.

If you want value for money this place fits the bill, 5 minuet walk to the night market, 15 minuet walk to the beach. Lots of places to eat near by, and only a short walk to the main bars. The rooms were nice and modern and very clean, we were made more than welcome by the staff. If in Hua Hin again we would defernatly stay here again.

We chose this hotel due to recommendation, they had a pool (much needed due to the distance from the beach) and the closeness to downtown shopping. I will say we travel A LOT, and we are not faddish. This is our objective observation. It is up to you to decide if you think our observations will make you accept their charge or not. We think it was a borderline. You can find so much cheap 3-4star hotels in Hua Hin (as I would rate My place as) If you will charge as ‘My place’ I would like a little bit more attention to the details. But this is only details. Overall, I would not hesitate staying here again, as long as the standard and the price remains. Lower standard or higher charge would make me chose another hotel.

We stayed in a superior room including an extra bed(+600B/night!!). Be aware that the extra bed will NOT suit an adult. It is a one inch mattress pad positioned on a foldable camp bed. It barely made our 4yearold sleep well!! The ordinary bed consisted of two singe beds pushed together, big enough for 2adults and a 6year. Firm to medium and comfortable!

The room is ok and it feels ‘new’. Nothing extra, two chairs, a cupboard and a desk, one painting (broken). Maybe we are to demanding, judge for yourself, but the state the room had been cleaned and prepared to have more to wish for. To mention; hangers positioned around the room (from the former guest??), wet towels folded in cupboard, ragged towels (all of them), ear buds (unused, but anyway) on the bathroom floor, ragged bed clothes. The shower water in our room took more than 10minutes to clear the floor, no chairs or table for balcony, very harsh maneuvering of A/C (small circuit breaker at ceiling level, my wife needed a chair to reach it). Otherwise clean sheets (but some ragged), free water, TV (lots of channels even non-thai), refrigerator, safety box! The A/C is quiet and effective.
Small but ok balcony, if you don’t get a room at the lower floors and at the backside of the hotel. Then your view will be….. non-existing. The lower levels will almost be able to touch the building nextdoor
Cleaning is OK, it looks like it consists of swiping the floor, bringing new towels and bed clothes. The stains at the mirrors, water faucets, shower doors, desks and so on was ignored.

Breakfast is good. No buffet. A plate consisting of your eggs of choice, bacon, ham, sausage. Toasts and marmalade. Juice, coffee or tea. Except the “warm plate” you can ask for more, free of charge!

The pool area needs more attention. The pool is a small(6x4m) but nice Jacuzzi-type pool. Unfortunately it is a lot of sand in it and the water are not clean. During our stay there where constantly 20-something pigeons trying to drink from the pool. Imagine what these birds do to the cleanliness of the pool area if you don’t look after it…….
The pool is surrounded by very nice flowerbeds and a great view over the town. Very nice.
The lath around the pool are more broken than whole, there are a few hoses laying around, half of the sunbeds misses mattresses. Even the housecleaning worker uses some of the 9 existing sunbeds to dry their cleaning clothes/rags at…So, as I said. It needs attention and an partially an overhaul!

The hotel is situated perfect for “downtown work”. Just one block from the shopping, night market and so on. No disturbing noise from nearby bars or pubs. The best beach is more south in Hua Hin. You could use the small beach just outside The Hilton, but if you were thinking of sunbathing at the nicer, bigger beach you’ll have to go by taxi/tuk-tuk or similar.

The hotel is good situated for traveling in by bus or train. Walking distance, the train station is just three blocks away!

Nice and very attentive personal!

Summary: GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.No "big" things that spoiled or made our visit uncomfortable! With a minimal extra effort this hotel will rise to next level!

Room Tip: Rooms at first floor seems to have non existing view. We had balcony facing entrance-side. Nice! Ext...

My place@ Hua Hin was in perfect location and reasonable price. It's close to Hua Hin night market, just 2 minutes walk. And near bus stop for mimibus to BKK.
You can walk through Chatsila market which connect to night market.
The beach was not so far for walk. It's about 800 meter, 10 minutes walk.

On the roof, there was huge jacuzzi but quite old. Room was big and clean. Staffs were friendly and polite.

We got the room on the third floor on the back side, it's terrible view. We could see only the roof of our neighborhood.
