To clarify, this small boutique hotel is actually in Cha-Am area not really Hua Hin Central. This is next door to Sheraton Hua Hin which is about a 5 min walk and opposite the Factory Outlet. You can pick up some buys from the factory outlet as well as a small food court to get some lunch like rice/noodles if you like.

We booked a deluxe poolside villa and it was exactly as shown on the hotel's webpage. The room was spacious, with colonial style floorings, wooden platform for the bath tub, bronzed metalwork on the taps and basins as well as black and white flower motifs tiles. Everthing looks so elegant yet cozy at the same time.

Mini-bar is free and consist of some juice packets, coke and sprite. Light snacks like pretzel sticks, chips and biscuits are also topped up everyday during room service. Breakfast changes everyday (thumbs up) with some local Thai food as well as Continental breakfast with ala-minute omelette station in the cafe area. Its casual and family like, just grab any seats not taken, get yourself coffee/tea from the pots in the side station or a copy of papers from the front of the lobby.

We got an unusally cold break in March and the water was far too chilly in to soak in. Even my unit (Number 7) is just 2 steps away from the pool, all we could do was to enjoy it from the patio on our rocking chairs *LOL* We bought our own champage, lighted candles and just chit chat on the rocking chairs on the patio and enjoyed the soothing sound of the sea waves breaking on the rocky seashore and enjoyed the moments of peace and tranquility.

This small boutique hotel is a 20 minutes drive from Hua Hin Center and you can make us of the complimentary shuttle from Devasom to HHC. Just make sure you approach the front desk to make your reservations.

You may opt to stay in the resort as you will not get bored in here. There is a library with quite a few titles you can borrow to read, a small piano if you like to excercise your fingers and plenty of space to lounge around in the confort of your room or by the pool.

Love this place! Now I know why this is voted Number 1 in Hua Hin! I will def come back again and again!!!

Room Tip: Book a villa near the pool

We booked at Devasom for a couple of nights based on the rating on Tripadvisor and pictures we saw on the resort's website and we were not disappointed. In fact, we were delighted that we chose Davasom this time for our family get together in Hua Hin. The place was simply elegant. Every corner of the resort was tastefully decorated and immaculately maintained. Thank you, Khun Lek and the staff for making this short break very enjoyable for us. Highly recommended.

PS: My daughter did particularly enjoyed your free minibar and my wife and son, your free wifi. I simply enjoyed your bedding and its accessories.

If you like busy, noisy hotels with lots of children please dont read any further.
My wife and I stayed at Devasom resort in February 2011 for fourteen nights and we only whish we could have stayed longer. We have stayed in Hua Hin for some eight years now and I am happy to say without question this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in.
Upon arriaval we were greeting by the owner (who also lives on the property) and from that moment we were made to feel like family guests the staff soon got to know our names and allways went out of their way to help or just chit chat over breakfast.
Our accomadation was first class and the attention to detail was perfect including wifi,Ipod docking station Tv and cd player.
We stayed on bed and breakfast basis and the food is cooked freshly for you and there was a choice of both English and Thia (recommend the Thai pancakes) and the food quality was at all times first class.
With it only being twenty four rooms it had a cosy feeling and the staff are first class and also the grounds are a tribute to the owners late husband and to say they are immaculate would be an understatment.
The hotel is located about ten minutes from Hua Hin 250 baht taxi but if you ask at reception they will recommend local resturants and every one we visited was first class and not to expensive.
We only have one complaint and that was our stay passed so quickly.
We look forward to our return visit

Just came back for a 6 days 5 nights stay at Devasom and felt extremely compelled to write my FIRST review on Trip Advisor.

This is easily the best beach resort in Thailand for the rejuvenation of the heart, mind and soul. Every corner of the resort from the lobby to our room, is perfectly planned for maximum rejuvenation.

The interior of the room is cleverly planned such that guests are able to get an unblocked view of the vast blue sea, lovely beach, beautiful pool and lush surroundings. The inside of the villa blends perfectly with the surroundings such that guests can get a feel of the pristine surrounding outside while enjoying the modern facilities inside the villa.

The thoughtfully placed rocking chairs and coffee table right outside the patio of the villa, offers a perfect place to chill out with the cooling breeze and sound of the gentle waves accompanying our senses. The tide in the evenings brings the sea very close to the resort and right infront of the comfortable beach chairs. Its easy for the mind to feel totally relaxed just by lying on the beach chairs and looking out into the vast endless sea.

The night is extremely beautiful with the natural moonlight reflecting against the sea and the beautiful architectural structures of the resort lighted up. The beauty of Devasom at night just make us want to stay up all night sipping wine outside the private patio.

It is not surprising to us why Devasom is number 1 in Hua Hin on this website.

Words just can't describe how amazing this place is. You have to come and experience it for yourselves!

Last but not least, we like thank all staffs at Devasom for our wonderful stay!

This was a slice of paradise! Walking into Devasom was like entering another time, incredibly gracious and welcoming with a timeless, classic feel. We spent 6 days there and loved every second. Room was lovely. We had a suite, well designed layout worked well for myself, husband and 11 year old son. They offered a cot for our son, but he declined preferring the window seat in the room. So housekeeping made it up with sheets for him, quite cozy. View from room was amazing, looked out over lovely courtyard with infinity pool with the Gulf of Thailand as a backdrop. At night time you could see the fishing boats with their green lights in the distance. Staff was incredible. I know that Thailand is known for hospitality, but honestly the staff here took it up another notch. They were all wonderful. We enjoyed not only the breakfast buffet here but ate at least one meal each day in addition. Food was incredibly good, menu varied and something for everyone. Dining room was comfortable and inviting, music was evocative of another time. Over-all atmosphere was romantic, but VERY child friendly. Families and couples both most welcome. The hotel is located about 10K north of Hua Hin so we had the best of all worlds. Peaceful but only minutes away from restaurants and shopping. Don't miss the Cicada Market if you're there on a Saturday! Also toured the Hua Hin Vineyards which is worth the drive. Staff is very good about arranging for drivers, tours, etc. When it came time to leave, we all had tears. We made some wonderful friends, this was a very special stay for us. Truly a "Home for Angels"!
