Beautiful setting for this hotel. Just a couple of steps and you are on the beach, which gives a welcome breeze. But who needs a beach when there are loungers positioned around the pool.
We stayed in the main hotel block and had a fantastic view. Room was big with great bath in the centre of the room (This could be screened off if required).
There is not much around the hotel, so if you want a bit of excitement take the free shuttle into Hua Hin for the night market and sample the great food there.
The hotel offers a good selection of food for the evenings if you don't want to move from your base, and we only did that on one of the four nights we were there.
Very helpful and attentive staff.

Room Tip: Top floor hotel room have great views.

We’re not big beach goers. If we were this would be our default hotel. However, whenever we have family or friends visit Thailand who are most interested in relaxing on beaches and are not concerned with price this the hotel we take them to. This property’s private beach is the best of what I’ve experienced in Hua Hin. It also is right next to their property’s large swimming pool. There are showers to use to get off the sand and hop in the pool. Me personally I much prefer heading back to a room to shower after using a pool than a beach so this is a nice plus.

I’ve stayed in both a Seaside Suite and Beach Front Villa. Which I like best depends largely on who I am staying with. The beach front villas are a 20 second walk to the pool, but everything here is in a single room. The Seaside Suite has a separate seating area that isn’t in the bedroom. This is however not its own individual unit but rather involves walking a short staircase to the building part of the property. It is probably a 70 second walk to the pool. For me, if staying with wife and smallest child I prefer Beach Front Villa. If rooming with a friend or other family member I like what the Seaside Suite provides.

As for details of the property everything is just nice. I wouldn’t rate any area excellent outside the pool and beach combo which makes this place, except for the staff. They are also mostly brilliant. The food is very good, not great, but again staff I’ve dealt with is excellent. The lady who I think owns the property or is the manager is also very nice. Both rooms we stayed in had comfortable beds. The staff called tuk tuks for us and a van for ride to the airport and all that.

PROS

*A sweet resort

*Staying in Beachfront Villa no. 1 you're on the first row with the best view, a private daybed, and your almost-personal spot of sunbeds overlooking the sea with a sense of privacy

*Villas have cute little porches with rocking chairs

*Nice and clean pool with a "bench" in it for you to lounge on

*Literally a few steps from the beach

*There were nicely kept greenery and gardens

*Attentive staff

CONS:

*Resort grounds are very limited and a little cramped

*We were three people and all of us found that the bed + extra bed was hard as rock and slept very uncomfortably, causing backache

*The breakfast room/only restaurant is small and not arriving early to breakfast means there will only be available seats outside (in this case during the hottest season in Thailand)

*The villas are cozy but a bit small

*Nice hotel but not "luxury" as stated

Room Tip: Of villas, Beachfront Villa for the best view

Checked in after travelling SE Asia for a month. Loved the location, amenities, staff and room. Washed the travel dust off and spent three days relaxing.
Can't recommend it highly enough. Chilled, relaxed and well equipped. The food was excellent and the staff attentive and interactive.
Come -- relax -- you'll thank yourself...

This hotel retains the feeling of a very warm and cozy place to stay, which seems to be missing from many chain hotels today. Even more expensive and upper scale chains can't match the feeling of this hotel - the rooms are inspired by the traditional Thai style with all modern amenities.

Service was excellent and attentive, and this place is very popular among couples from Bangkok. The rooms are spacious, with a large bed and very generous bathroom. There is a bathtub (for one unfortunately), and a rain shower, as well as a very large powder area. The room we stayed at had windows which opened out from the bathtub to the bedroom, which added a romantic atmosphere to the room.

We had a Thai massage and it was conducted within the room. Breakfast was the standard continental buffet, with both Thai and Western dishes. It's nothing special, but the quality was certainly better than other hotels in the same price range.

There is also a pool overlooking the sea, which is absolutel beautiful. It's not for swimming though given that it's not a deep or large pool, but it is composed of three tiers and has a very modern design with white floors as opposed to the standard blue pool tiles you get in typical pools.

This hotel is highly recommended - I would go again in a heartbeat! The best time to go would be on weekdays, as Bangkokians would have gone back to work then.

Room Tip: The suites are on the side. While the view isn't as good as the ones in the centre, these are th...

Our first time there was impressive. It's a beautiful hotel with great hospitality perfect for those who enjoy serenity, sun and sea breeze. Our suite is well designed and spacious. A restaurant offers a variety of breakfast options and they were just delicious!. Only one minor thing that upset me, an unstable wifi connection especially in room. However, our overall experience was truly wonderful! Highly recommend Devasom Hua Hin for your next vacation.

We spent 4 days at Devasom as a family of 5 (children are teenagers and above). The place is indeed like heaven. We spent most of the time in the swimming pool area, under a large tree in the center: total relaxation! Place is peaceful for the mind and body. If you look for quiet and for time to read a book, enjoy the sun and view the sea, this is simply a wonderful place. We got to know the lady owner who was very helpful and made sure we were happy. Her 2 sons manage the place with attention to details. Food was excellent with a high variety (we of course met with the chef too). This is a type of place where you don't need to write your room number on the check because all the staff knows who you are... When we wanted out, the hotel arranged for transportation (we took a great massage at the nearby Dusit hotel, we had one dinner at this hotel too, we went once to Hua Hin city where we visited the nice night market). Devasom is an ideal place for those who want peace and quiet and do not want to stay a big commercial hotels. Very recommended.
