“Very nice but not amazing”
Reviewed 29 January 2014

A very good quality hotel for Hua Hin. The resort is fairly new and built to a high quality. Unfortunately the development is on a narrow strip of land with all the rooms facing adjacent waste land with no real views. The main pool area and bar does look out to the beach but not from any of the rooms.

The rooms are very spacious and have their own small pools. However, none of the room pools have any sun - they are in the shade all day and are ice cold so not really used.

Location is not bad. Need to get taxi for bars and restaurants - about 5 mins @ 150 baht.

There was construction work next to the hotel in January with some noise. Hotel did not seem to know how long this will continue.

Stayed at Cape Nidhra recently, and all I can say is WOW. It is a beautiful resort, located in the nice part of Hua Hin Beach, with a fantastic swimming pool and bigger than average rooms. There was even a pool in the room, with a roof top balcony - most Hua Hin hotels you don't get much of a view of the beach, but for Cape Nidhra you can see some of the water from your room.

My mother and I really enjoyed the breakfast, which has everything you could ask for, and one day she (sadly I was still sleeping) saw dolphins swimming up and down the beach!

The service and facilities were great, but most of all the room was spectacular, featuring a beautiful standalone tub, 2 sinks, huge living room and big plasma screen TV.

Room Tip: It's totally worth it to get a junior suite with the swimming pool; although maybe only in the w...

Can't say enough nice things about this place. Classy, well positioned, nice facilities, polite staff, great bar and restaurant, liked it all a great deal.
Very minor gripe is that our Sky Pool doesn't get the sun at any time of the day although it is useful for diving in if you want to cool off quickly.
Love that the hotel is right on the beach, best time to sunbathe by the pool is in the morning as the sun drops behind the hotel in the afternoon.

We had spent our first week in Thailand on the island of Koh Samui and flew back to Bangkok where we were met by a driver sent from the Cape Nidhra hotel. As we made ourselves comfortable in the back seat, out of a cooler box, he presented us with chilled face towels and a selection of ice cold (soft) drinks. The car also had free wifi. The drive to Hua Hin took almost 3 hours.
Check-in on our arrival at the hotel was efficient and speedy and we were shown to our room (a deluxe sky pool suite). The room was very spacious, with a huge bed and contemporary furnishings. The en-suite bathroom was similarly extensive with his & her wash basins, a massive free standing stone bath and a shower cubicle big enough to accommodate a football team! Outside on the balcony was a day bed and a small (infinity) swimming pool with a narrow channel which led back straight into the shower cubicle in the bathroom. A neat touch.
The room was spotlessly clean, and everything worked as it should. The bed provided a comfortable night's sleep.
We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and, on our first, decided to dine in at the hotel's Rocks restaurant. It was outstanding, and although pricier than the other restaurants in central Hua Hin, we thought it was well worth it. The lobster bisque was divine.
Breakfast is served in the Rocks restaurant and is a generous buffet offering tremendous choice. As you would expect, eggs are cooked to order. You can also get some bacon rashers cooked freshly for you. The seating is very comfortable.
Because we have a friend who lives close to Hua Hin, we spent most of our time out of the hotel visiting the local sights. We never used the communal pool area so are unable to pass any comment.
The location of the hotel means that you can walk into central Hua Hin in the evening (maybe it can be too hot during the day) - it takes about 10-15 minutes. There's a busy night market immediately over the road from the hotel. You're spoilt for choice when it comes to bars and restaurants. The place comes to life at night time. It's colourful, vibrant and you'll miss it when you get back home. The beach is okay, but there are far better one a few miles along the coast where you'll likely be the only bathers.
However, as appears to be the norm in Thailand, one lasting memory of the Cape Nidhra hotel is the staff. From the moment you arrive, to the time that you leave, they really can't do enough for you. Friendly, courteous and efficient, they certainly know how to provide good service.
This hotel won't disappoint. Thank you Cape Nidhra.

I took my big family to Cape Nidhra to celebrate "mother's day" for my mom and sister August this year. We had a very amazing time. The manager and staffs are very friendly and they are very accommodating to our big family since we have a 7 months old niece with us. Despite that the hotel is fully book (almost at all time during this period), they are trying to accelerate the process so that we can take my niece to our room before her nap time. The facility is beautiful and trendy. Also, they are just perfect for us to relax to enjoy ourselves. The swimming is amazing--all of us were there swimming, relaxing and hanging out everyday. The restaurant is also very nice--both Asian and Western food are both good. The cocktails and wine list are quite reasonable as well for a family who plan to stay in the resort for entire time. The beach in front of the hotel is also clean. For our rooms, they are definitely "incredible"!!!!! They are so modern equipped with everything to entertain everyone. We definitely would come back here again for our next vacation. We loved it!

One word i had when i arrived was "Breathtaking" it was in the evening and all the lights made it so pretty. A warm welcome was given and a very quick check in, which we were grateful for as we were tired. The room was stunning, huge room, huge bathroom and a great size pool and the bed was super comfy. The main pool area was gorgeous with great views and great service at the pool side. Loved the location, you could walk to shops and restaurants which was great. Not to mention going for a beach walk each morning was great, i was really impressed with the white sand and cleanliness of the beach. My partner thought it was so nice one evening on the roof top bar he proposed to me so Cape Nidhra will be remembered by us and hopefully we will be able to go back for an anniversary.
