Just returned from 6 nights in Cape Nidhra hotel. The hotel is just 3 years old and is located on a plot that extends from main road to the beach. The beach is one of the best we have come across recently, long stretches of soft sand, no rocks to tip toe across and gentle slope into the sea. There were great views looking out to sea and to the distance hills from our room on the second floor. It is an easy 10 min walk to the start of the restaurant area in Hua Hin and close to some restaurants with good ratings in Trip Advisor. There is no need for a taxi unless you want to avoid the street scene in Hua Hin.
Our room was very large and yet we had one of the smaller rooms (Sky Pool suite) in the hotel. It was well equipped with plenty of storage for clothes and the usual technology facilities. The Wi-Fi service was free and easy to use (no need to log in each time) and pretty fast. The bed was big and very comfortable with huge bathroom equipped with everything a bathroom should have, two sinks, big central bath, huge shower with rain shower and wall mounted shower. Each room had large sliding doors to open the room completely to the large terrace which had a mini infinity pool and day bed which was great for relaxing with a G&T after a hard day by the pool or beach. The mini pool was obviously a feature for looks not swimming and it was cold as it did not get the sun but it added to the opulent feeling of the rooms. If I had to find one thing to criticise it was the game we had each day trying to turn off or on the many lights in the room using the lights switches scattered through the room.
Breakfast by the pool provided huge choice of every type of food and drink we wanted. The staff in all departments were efficient and helpful. We had room service on a couple of nights and food was good, service was quick and efficient and the price was very competitive with eating elsewhere.
The pool was good and of course clean. The sun beds were comfortable. There were probably too few to satisfy the demand on some days particularly as some people were very efficient at reserving the beds at a time I was probably asleep and worse not appearing for several hours. The hotel ought to think about increasing the numbers by better layout and more beds on the beach.
Other reviewers have commented on construction work nearby. This is true but it is very low noise level and one had to listen for it to notice it. The waves on the beach were nosier!
We had a great time at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.
