“Excellent location with lovely pools and easy access to the beach”

Great location with huge shopping mall called Market Village( including Tescos) opposite and loads of restaurant options - either Thai or European. Plenty of tuk tuks nearby. Wouldnt recommend the midday train from Bangkok - should have taken the 8.00am express. Same cost as hiring a car with driver. Grounds and pool were immaculate and staff very nice. The beach is at the end of the garden - very safe for families.

“Very pleased with the property, exactly as advertised”
Reviewed 2 December 2011 for a stay in November 2011

The complex is in an excellent location, virtually opposite the Villiage Market Mall which is modern and has everything you require including a supermarket and eating places.

We really liked the pool at the complex, it was very large and as there were very few people around the pool at any time it was ideal for enjoying some relative quiet and privacy. Most of the people there either locals from Bangkok staying as their homes were flooded or long term visitors (Russian and Swedish mainly) who come for up to 6 months during their cold seasons. Given my wife and her mother speak Russian, the fact most of the families there were Russian was an added bonus.

It is also right on the beach and we swam there everyday too, some people criticise the beach at Hua Hin but we have absolutely no issues. Nothing wrong at all. Water is nice and sand is generally clean.

There were 2-3 low cost eating places on the beach within a few hundred metres which we frequented or the tuk tuk is an easy ride to Hua Hin centre for more formal dinners. It is also an easy walk but we tended to take the tuk tuk as we had an older relative with us.

The power and water is charged separately and cost us just over Baht 2000 for 16 nights which was okay given my wife showers after every swim as well as every morning and every evening!, so we would have been big water users. We also slept with the aircon on in the bedroom which we do not know is normal or not yet for us it was way to hot without it. Still this overall cost is low on a daily basis.

Only thing we would suggest to owner is being provided with 2 keys, we asked for two as we had another family member and it was common that there would be people going at separate times but we were told there was only one key. Maybe we did not explain ourselves and apologies if another key was available, We needed to be very well co-ordinated to esnure someone didnt get stuck outside. Seems surprising if it has always been one key only though, especially for a 2 bedroom place

We would defintely return.

“Comfortable apartment”

My wife and I spent nine nights at Baan San Dao.
We booked with Jason who answered all our questions and gave us some tips prior to arriving.
The apartment was on the first floor which can be reached by stairs or the elevator.
We used the stairs as it is only one floor to climb.
We found the apartment very comfortable. There is a flat screen T.V. with plenty of English speaking channels to choose from. The furniture is comfortable to sit on when relaxing in the evening.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and a large en suite.
The kitchen area is small, it has a good size refrigerator and it met all our needs.
The pool area is large and was not busy when we were there. Walk down the steps at the back and you are on the best part of the beach.
Location is excellent. Across the the road is the new Market Village shopping complex where we were able to buy food and all other requirements. We would walk into the town and it would take between 10-15 minutes.
The WiFi cost 300Bhart for the week and I found the signal not that strong and a bit slow.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in this apartment which was reasonably priced and will book it again when we next holiday in Hua Hin.
