I visited the Cicada Market again in March. Tuk Tuk ride 150baht from middle of Hua Hin town to the market. I was after dog coats and there are two stalls selling these gorgeous coloured novelty coats. One of the stalls also sold collars and bandanas designed by the stall owner.

There were several talented musicians playing around the market. Also the market has extended out to the car park. Here there are several stalls selling clothes, belts and drinks and food.

We tried driving to the market using Google maps, and the Goggle maps navigation (sudo GPS). (A) in Google Earth is wrong too.

Google places this market NOWHERE near the true location. In fact it puts it in an Army Camp. Very nice soldiers. Friendly, but no help at all finding the place. The University that it tried to get me to drive thorough was equally wrong.

The location is close to the Hyatt and "Let's Sea". Easy to get to if you know the true location. Parking across the street is 30 baht.

LOTS to eat. Buy coupons and give them for food and get cash back for unused coupons. Food is 1600-2300 Friday/Saturday and 1600-2200 on Sunday.

The market part is mostly art and self made items, not the commercial stuff you find at the market in the middle of Hua Hin.

It is only a few minutes walk from Chivasom Resort and had a variety of stalls, music, food and art. Well worth a trip.

We spent 2 nights at Cicada flea market and even saw a free musical there. The price might be a little higher but it is a relaxing night market. Just take a tuktuk or a green van-like bus,(10bah).

There are free band shows and street artists. It is ok if you bring young kids with you.

Cicada is a flea market that sells hand crafted or random things. Originally thought it was an arty place (i mean with real paintings and sculptures), there are only a few spots that are actually related to art really. Other than that, it's all about clothes, bags or accessories as i remember. Restaurant wise, there are a few small cafes. Food stalls are also available for meals, we didn't try any of those since they didn't look appealing to us.

Even though the product range doesn't fit my type, I have to say I like the atmosphere of this place, there's an empty space which allows people to sit down and enjoy the music from the band, and that's pretty chill.
