No downside - clean, comfortable, curtious and accommodating staff, close enough to center of town so you don't deal with traffic and noise..!! Vicinity restaurants really good but where in Thailand is the cuisine bad..??

Room Tip: Upstairs room, can't comment on lower rooms, will return again in late July and late August if s...

Nice small hotel but for the price found something else in Hua Hin for half the price and in a better location I preferred the south of Hua Hin centre of town more options to choose from and easier to get into town. The rooms at Evergreen are large and comfortable we did have a problem with wifi signal was weak and the air conditioner did take sometime to cool down the room. Had the odd mosquito in the room annoying when trying to get to sleep. Breakfast was OK.

Hi, and thanks for your feedback.

We've installed another wifi system for the upstairs rooms.
All air conditioners have been overhauled and some replaced.
Also missing hairdryers replaced.

Cheers
John

Nice staffs and overall a very pleasing hotel to stay for us.
I'll mention with the negatives first. Both are not critical.
My room wifi doesn't work (it connected but is practically not functioning).
My room is on the second floor and in the Summer (that we visited). The air conditioner took so long to get the temperature down to 26-27 degree Celsius (20-30 minutes).
The rest are all positives. Clean, good breakfast, very relaxing pool, very large room space, large bathroom, nice decoration, quiet area, and within a relatively short walking distance to the beach and stuffs. And very responsive and friendly staffs.

Room Tip: First floor for cooler room. Second floor for better isolation (quiet).

I visited Evergreen a second time after 3 years. Everything was perfect again. Huge room on second floor. Decoration in traditional Thai style. But even the smaller ones are very spacious. Everything in the room I needed to have (extra living area with sofa). Also DVD player if needed. Staff very friendly and you can ask for everything. They will try to organize.
For a single golfer ideal as golf trips could easily booked from the hotel. When John was back I could even play with him and other guests. Real fun!
Will come again asap.

This was our first hotel on this years trip to Thailand and i think we made a great choice. we booked direct with the owner (John) and on arrival he made us very welcome, he had arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport at a very reasonable rate and after our 11 hour flight it was very welcomed.
We reached the hotel about 8pm and John was there to greet us, we thought that was a nice little touch, he showed us to our room and told us the basics and left us to it as he could probably tell we were both knackered from our journey.
We were going to be moved to a suite the next day but we were very happy with the room we were given so decided to stay where we were.
Breakfast was a very laid back affair and we were told that if we wanted anything different to the menu they would do there best to accommodate.
The hotel is a decent walk outside of town but we like walking so it made no difference to us it either gives you an appetite or allows you to walk off a good meal.
Rooms were very clean and spacious with a nice looking pool which we never got to try(maybe next time)
The hotel is mainly aimed at golfers but John made us very welcome and the next time i,m in Hua Hin for what ever reason i know where i will be staying.

Visited Evergreen already 4 times. No need to search for another place to stay. If one likes small and quiet place to stay - this is perfect. Rooms very clean and large enough. Beds so big you can sleep from west to east or north to south. You won't fall down. Nice staff make you feel like home. Breakfast +++ served to table from your order. Good restaurants even nearby. Staff advises where it is worth to eat and drink. I will happily return to Evergreen on April 2014. Prepare for booking, mates!
