“Quiet and serene”
Reviewed 29 August 2011

It definitely lives up to its name. Its far from the town location is ideal for anyone looking to escape it all. The whole hotel revolves aound its beautiful pool. All the rooms on the ground floor open up to it. All the rooms on the second and third floors overlook it. What it lacks in other facilities like a spa is more than made up by the lagoon like pool. The rooms are spacious but there's no tub. It has only one restaurant but it serves good food. At night you hear crickets all around yet it is located right beside the main road. The beach is quite a walk but I didn't bother. When you get bored, there's a hotel shuttle that takes you to the town proper, free of charge. Hua Hin maybe a sleepy town but it can get busy at night in town. It is always good to come back to some peace and quiet.

We stayed there 2 nights over the weekend coming from Bangkok where we leave. The hotel is brand new, and the pool is amazing by its length. If you go there, you should stay at the groudn floor, which give you direct access to the pool from your balcony. But avoid the room 101 or 102 ,as they don;'have direct access to the pool, and even 103 to 105 as you would be facing the restaurant, which is not so nice when it is meal hours. The bed was very comfortable, the internet (wifi) was FOC, and the room well designed.
The drawbacks:
- not worth staying there if you don't have direct access to the pool
- the brekfast offered a very limited choice for a 4 star hotel, and was pretty small
- the beach... what beach? I drove the 500m track drive to the beach in my SUV (luck I did not have a Sedan...) to arrive on a deserted trip of sand. Very quiet indeed, but nothing there!
- too far from the city if you don't have a car

The pluses:
- good service
- quiet
- very nice rooms
- free wifi
- room with direct access to the pool

Honestly, i would go back there only if I'd get the same deals (we paid around 2000THB with b/d per night) or else i would fork a bit more to be closer to the southern beaches in a similar or more luxurious hotel, or go to a less "luxury" hotel with a better location.
On the other hand i found the hotel pretty well targeted to business meetings/seminar (if they can accommodate large groups at the restaurant...)

I and my friend were staying at this new opened hotel in Hua Hin called Best Western Plus Serenity Hua Hin and we loved every single bit of it. We stayed in a pool access room which we can go straight down into the swimming pool via our room’s balcony and it just felt great and super relaxed. The hotel is very cozy and all hotel staffs are friendly, nice and helpful. The food was amazing especially ‘Pad-Thai’ (most common Thai food). The location is superb. Overall, I would recommend this place for couple or even friends hangout get together trip and I will definitely go back again next time:).
