Run by a very friendly Englishman and his Thai wife, this restaurant forms the focal point, akin to a clubhouse, of a quite extensive resort, tucked away 7 or 8 kms out of Hua Hin off the Pala U road. The resort has a very impressive swimming pool, crazy golf, and has recently opened a lawn bowls facility with 5 rinks. I haven't stayed at the resort (living closeby) but I know the rooms to be spacious, clean and very affordable at 600 baht a night.
Back to the restaurant - Chris (the resort's owner) is a very capable chef, having previously owned and run a prestigious hotel in England's West Country. He offers both Western and Thai food; breakfast, lunch & dinner, excellent food at affordable prices. His homemade English pies are to die for! I'm particularly his pork pie, which, very surprisingly, Chris serves warmed through with mushy peas and mash, or on its own as a moreish snack with Branston pickle.
Told you Chris is a Pom, did I?
All in all, a great place for a meal or a very relaxing place for the day with family and friends.More
