“So close to being perfect!”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

Stayed here for 2 nights in January 2014, staying in a double room with private terrace and pool (more like a jacuzzi actually, but without the jets). The room design was unique and fantastic; I especially liked the exotic tiles on the floor and walls! The terrace and pool were beautiful BUT the water was simply too cold to enjoy any time there. The same goes for the main hotel pool; which was icy cold even in the midday heat (notice that even on a busy day barely anyone is using it)! Please, management, do something about this! The breakfast was average, but the evening meals were good, and the beachside bar was an idyllic place for early (and late) evening cocktails. Finally, although the staff were friendly, those serving at breakfast appeared to be very inexperienced and as such, tended to make mistakes and misunderstand us. Those at the cocktail bar were more accomplished and efficient.

Dear Khun Djwill83,

It is a great pleasure for Marrakesh Hua Hin Resort and Spa to have a chance to accommodate you recently. We are delighted to hear that you were satisfied with our room design which is renowned as Hua Hin’s only Neo-Moroccan-inspired architectural style.

However, we are sorry about your experience with the water temperature in the in-suite Jacuzzi on the terrace. Your feedback has been well noted and taken for further improvement. Similarly, about the water temperature in the Hotel’s outdoor swimming pool which made you uncomfortable, it is likely that the period of your stay in Hua Hin was in the local cool season. Hence, the weather was generally cool even in day time.

We would like to apologize about your unsatisfied experience at breakfast and the service quality from the restaurant staff. These comments have been carefully noted and shared among the team for future improvement. Moreover, we are intensifying our training programs for the service team as well as developing our menu variety and quality for better customer satisfaction.

Once again, thank you for sharing us these valued feedbacks. It is our hope that we will have an opportunity to welcome you again in your future trip to Hua Hin, Thailand at Marrakesh Hua Hin Resort and Spa.

Best regards,

My husband made the reservation to this resort via agoda because he wants to try to Morocco style room decorated. The room space is not as big as we thought, too many mirrors in the room which is not children friendly. The bed is set up in the middle of the room we don't used to, especially it is uncomfortable for Chinese or the other Asian people who care about the Fengshui. Our first time but the last time. We saw a bigger swimming pool from our Terrence but we can't join it because it belongs to the next door Marrakesh Residence not the hotel! The pool in the resort is so small:( the breakfast serves less food options which I can't find any interests.

Dear Ms. Rina T.,

First of all, we thank you for choosing Marrakesh Hua Hin Resort and Spa for your recent family vacation in Hua Hin, Thailand. I hope that in the meantime you and your family reached home safely.

However, it is with a deep regret to learn that you found our room features not to be up to your expectation and personal belief in Feng Shui. As our Hotel was inspired and designed in Neo-Moroccan style, it shares a dissimilar concept to the principle of an Asian belief in Feng Shui. In regard to the room size and decoration, Marrakesh Hua Hin Resort and Spa also offers 4 distinct room types of choice which vary in sizes, room layouts, interior designs, and functionalities to cater to guests’ preferences. We understand that your latest stay was in the Jacuzzi Suite, our primary and homey room type, for which its size and unique room layout were ideally designed to suit the two adults’ accommodation. That’s the reason why it might not match your personal preference when staying as a group (2 Adults & 2 kids) in this room type.

However, these details have not been outlined to serve as an excuse, but rather as an explanation to shed light into your feedback. In general, our staff will be very happy to assist upon guests’ request with the room layout such as the bed and some light furniture relocation if they are causing guests inconvenience.

Regarding the swimming pool, as per your booking which was based on the Hotel side, we would like to clarify that Marrakesh Hua Hin Resort and Spa is an altered business entity with the separate management from the Marrakesh Hua Hin Residences. Hence, the accommodation benefits were grounded on different facilities and services including the use of pool and garden, fitness center, and so on.

Furthermore, thank you so much for your feedback on the breakfast experience. We will share it among the team for better improvement toward guest satisfaction.

Again, I am deeply sorry about the experience and that I would like you to accept my personal apologies over the matter. Lastly, we would be more than happy to restore you faith in our services and look forward to making it up and welcoming you back to Marrakesh Hua Hin Resort and Spa on your future trip in Hua Hin, Thailand.

Best regards,

We checked in on new year's eve for our 4 day 3 night vacation and was pleasantly delighted from the moment we set our foot on this beautiful boutique property. The service is top notch and the hotel is beautiful.
We booked a jacuzzi suite and got a room in the 1st building on the 3rd floor. The room is as pictured on the site and the only downside would be that its facing the service residence . But the hotel has blinds by the balcony so should you need some privacy, just switch it down.
We were a bit skeptical about mandatory NYE dinner celebration but it turned out to be wonderful with a sumptuous buffet spread by the pool. You could also buy and light your own fireworks from the peddlers on the beach, which is just literally a step away the pool.
Breakfast at the hotel is good and after that you can just spend the day lounging by the pool overlooking the beach. The hotels provides books and dvds that you can borrow. The sea and the galloping horses makes this quite a unique view best enjoying with a refreshing icy coconut in hand.
The hotel has a scheduled shuttle service to the clock tower but if you miss it, simply ask if the hotel has a vehicle that can drop you off, they usually can. Getting back to the hotel is just an easy tuk tuk ride as most of the drivers know where the hotel is by name.
This is truly a great place to stay. Am glad I chose this over the bigger hotel chains which I was considering.

The hotel itself is very unique and beautiful. There are quite a few couples go there for their wedding photos already means a lot. The room is wonderful and large with the jacuzzi in the balcony i cant have anything to complain. In anyway Hua Hin is more for loacl thai tourist from bangkok so it is understandable that the english of the start arent very good except one or two individuals which i guess it is the only thing you can complain and hence the feeling of bad service. In anyway, with a bit of patience and body language I can so tell they try their best to help you.

at first we were a bit disappointed with the garden view room as it really has no view at all but later on we found that is much better than the pool view room. The room is probably a third bigger than the pool view room and we have more privacy as no nothing next to our balcony (with the jacuzzi in the balcony...u need the privacy!) moreover, the pool view room over look the pool belongs to the service apartment which the hotel guests have no access...and that pool actually looks better than the hotel one! it would be perfect if we had access to that pool (although we went to swim in there once...no one noticed i hope)

the pool side bar is very nice and to have the sun bed under the palm tree is just perfect! they even cam over to our sun bed and offered us a complementary drink just made it perfect!

in anyway, highly recommend to stay in this hotel!! we had a wonderful time here!

Room Tip: garden view has more privacy which you will need especially the jacuzzi is in the balcony! try to...

I have stayed at the Marrakesh a few time now, it is great value for money clean and the staff are always friendly, just a word about the tuk tuk drivers on the opposite side of the road they scam you for extra money, it is better to flag one down, other than that it is a great place to stay

Room Tip: in my opinion all the rooms are good
