“Great hotel”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

We loved this hotel and even more so at the price - you can get some great mid-week deals and it is excellent value for what it is. Just make sure you stay one night over the weekend as the local weekend market is definitely worth a visit. This hotel has been open just one year and is very clean and modern, but I think the best thing about it is the service is fantastic. The hotel has a very easy-going informal feel about it with the staff going out of their way to do all their can to personalise your stay. When we were there, my husband had a birthday and we were surprised by a cake in our room - it is the little touches that really make a difference. Our only hesitation when booking was whether the hotel was too far away from the town, but this is really not an issue as it is located on the main road and it is easy to get up and down the road on the baht bus. The hotel also has it's own shuttle, although it could probably be a little more frequent than it is. The rooms, wi-fi, gym, pool are all stand-outs here too and the food etc. in the pool/restaurants is reasonably priced. My only one comment on the hotel was that the spa is very expensive and never seemed busy: they could certainly do with offering some better promotions. The hotel is not right on the beach, but does have it's own beach club/area if you want this, although the beach around Hua-Hin are not the best in Thailand. We love Hua-Hin though for it friendly, laid-back atmosphere and we will definitely return to this hotel when we come back. We have previously stayed at the Hilton and Centara, but this is now our hotel of choice. Don't hesitate to book here if you are going to Hua-Hin - you won't be dissapointed.

Our first trip to Amari Huahin was back in April 2013 during the "SongKran" festival (12th April to 15th April 2013).Our first expirienced at this place was very good and having our recent returned from our trip to Amari Huahin again on July 24th till July 28th 2013 we can recommend this place as a nice brand new resort to stay. This time we went with another 8 families and everyone really enjoyed the trip. The rooms are very nice & clean,we have had a pool view rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious.Good varieties on breakfast and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The location is very good & very close to the Huahin market & many other restaurants. On our last night of staying at this resort,we arranged a small private party at one of the function hall which is just perfect for a small group of approx. 25-30 people. The hall, the buffett & the music system was very well prepared and we are still talking about how much fun we have had until today.....very nice memory.
Not very often that I get to write any reviews but have to give it to this one!!A very BIG thanks to the GM- " Mario Mendis" and his team for a very friendly and a great hospitality.......will definitely be back again very soon!!!

Hotel room are great and nice decoration. Good layout but shower a bit small for big guys. Front desk and porter are charming and helpfull. Breakfast was delighted with everything you can want. Coffee was not reach a standard and kitchen staff need to add more smile. One pool staff quite rude we went ask some towl and he showed his palm and said "wait wait" with bad attitude so we wait more than 20 mins in the pool while he setting up bar at the pool. But all nice great place to chill.

This hotel looks brand new so that's brilliant. There's cheaper hotels but this one is so nice. Just a beautifully built hotel that has a clean and simple 5 star feel about it and the rooms are really cosy as well. Buffett breakfast was great too but a bit expensive compared to other places. Room services was good (pad thai) and seemed reasonable price.
Overall the service was satisfactory, one weird incident where a female reception staff after hearing we wanted to rent a scooter said she would make some calls and find some prices for us. She said take a seat. She then fluffed around for 15 mins then disappeared! When she did return some minutes later the other staff asked her what was going on and she shrugged it off as if she knew nothing about it. So we probably wasted 30 mins and got no where. Extremely frustratingly poor service and strange however the concierge then just handled it himself within 10 mins. Other than that its great, nice pool, beautiful gym etc. We went to their restaurant on the water as well (as part of a extras deal) and it was nice also - am virtually empty restaurant on the beach to ourselves. Check the Amari websites for deals on your stay.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are great while the hotel is brand new. I dont think the ocean view is that gr...

Well it just gets better the Amari Hua Hin Experience we are just back from our second family holiday to this great hotel and were looking forward to our next trip in the future.
We had informed Mario the GM that we would be arriving a day or 2 before hand as he had requested that we let him know that we were confirming our stay, I had requested that if possible could he reserve the same room we stayed in the last time (Hillside Pool View) as we were very happy with that.We arrived 5.30pm after a 3hour holiday drive from Bangkok it was great to arrive at our home from home as we now call it. The ice cold Apple Juice complementary and cold citrus wet towel was just the thing to freshen up after the tiring drive.
We had just handed the smiling receptionist our reservation papers to do the check in when Mario arrived to personally greet us.We said our greetings and we thanked him for meeting us.
We thought he would be on his way as he is always busy at the Holiday weekends busy helping out the staff in various ways.He took the key card from reception and insisted on taking us to our room.We entered the elevator to go to the second floor but to our surprise the elevator kept going right to the 7th floor at this point we were not sure what to think so when Mario opened the door and we walked in we knew this room was different. In fact it was Deluxe Pool View Family Suite room with dining room living room Huge bedroom on suite.
Mario had promised us last time our next stay would be better he had given us a complementary room upgrade. We are chorus members and you can get an upgrade 1 level if available we were upgraded 3 levels and we really are grateful for such a nice gesture.
My wife was over joyed and hugs and thanks all round was the order of the day.
Needless to say we totally enjoyed the room and all the extras that arrived such as fruit flowers in room and daily snacks that arrived in the evening such as popcorn cookies and fruit.
Throughout our 4 day stay we saw Mario many times doing odd jobs such as helping out at the breakfast moving tables and equipment to the pool area doing his rounds and checking out the Hotel basicaly he was leading by example and you can see he has the respect of his staff doing these jobs.Actually most of the staff are still the same there were some new faces but in General the same which is always a good sign of a good working relationship between Management and Staff which of course is great for the Guests as everyone is experienced and knows what is expected from them, this can be seen in the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the willingness to ask if you are ok and is there anything we can do to make your stay better.
Really I could go on for ever with this review but i will try to give some info for would be guests.
1.This hotel is very family friendly for young and old kids club with daily activities and ease of mobility for people who use wheelchairs.
2.Dining is excellent with 4 top class Resteraunts Cafes to choose from and you can order to room also. Look out for the Menu Boards outside each Diner as there are daily specials and set meals at a very good price you can also order the specials to your room.
3.This hotel is really Relaxed super size swimming pool with childrens pool and jacuzzis and the sound of flowing water everywhere also there is a top class Spa and beauty center.
Also the Shoreline Bistro on the beach front you can listen to the waves mingle with the soft lounge music and lose yourself in a daydream.
4.This hotel is very very clean and all areas are maintained to a very high level everything is pleasing to the eye the decor is very tasteful and different concepts are evident in different areas to keep your senses stimulated.
5.Breakfast is my Favourite a fantastic buffet with asian european chinese indian several tasty cheeses and a super selection of breads and cakes cereals and Juices just the thing to set you up for the day ohh and when Mario is there to pour your tea well it dosent get any better than that.
Thanks Mario and all the hard working Staff who have made our 2 stays wonderful and im sure our next trip will be better.
If your going to Hua Hin do stay in this hotel I cant recommend it enough.Go on take the Amari Experience you deserve it.
Thanks again Mario from Eddie Goong and Boy Fintan.

Room Tip: Go for the Pool View its a bit more expensive but well worth it and book early.

Dear Eddie

Thank you so much for your fantastic review, it was quite overwhelming. As I always say a manager is only successful as the fantastic team that supports and works with. Sorry I must point out that I am not the GM, however the Executive Assistant i/c Food & Beverage, without the guidance and leadership of our GM - Mr. Christoph Leonhard, we as team wouldn’t be able to create memorable stays for our guests at Amari Hua Hin,

we very much look forward to welcoming you, K Goong & Sweet little Fintan back soon

Safe travels & happy travels.

Dear Monthien S

Thank you for your review of our lovely hotel, We are delighted that you had a pleasant stay. we are currently in process of sourcing solutions for extra seating in a secondary restaurant due to high occupancy weekends. Plus further implementing more welcome hosts to ensure smooth arrival and seating
of guests that come for breakfast on the weekends.

Thank you for the tip on our deluxe hillside rooms with day bed option built in, they are fantastic for a family of four who have children under the age of 10

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
