Romantic pool area one of the best.. Please have more activities..eg dancing in the ballroom etc. Breakfast was good but too many unhealthy foods. Gym is undersold the picture on the website doesnt show all it has. Spa and cafe overpriced. .esp for off season.
Room Minibar overful coulnt fit our fod in the fridge. Minibars are a thing of the past. The fridge is in a cupboard which is hot.. picky things..its otherwise a well run hotel.

A very comfortable hotel.

The only thing that bugged me was when we arrived. We had travelled from Bangkok ourselves. We were not greeted with a cooling drink and when we checked in the receptionist aske for the name. I gave two surnames. The look that passed between the receptionists left me feeling uncomfortable. My husband and I are married however, I have never changed my surname to his. I could not remember who had booked the hotel my husband or myself hence I gave both names. Not a nice feeling to be judged like that.

Room Tip: Get a pool room the higher the better

During our one night stay, we found the hotel to be clean, pleasant with friendly staffs. However, the speed of the services, as well as certain basic tools were missing. We were requesting a bucket to baht our baby, but were informed that there are only 2 of those for the whole hotel. In addition, we could use some anti-slippery mat in the shower.

Just returning from the resort and overall we had a pleasant stay. The resort is very new and everything is spotless. The pool area is also very nice and a great place to relax and have a few cocktails whilst soaking up the sun or in between swimming. The only negative points about the resort is the lack of onsite quality restaurants and the location. Its a bit far from town and costs 150 thb each way in the local cabs/tuk tuks. The night market area is a must for quality seafood lovers and this resort is quite far away. I do recommend this hotel to couples and families if they have their own transportation otherwise its better to stay closer to town.

Dear Jay N

Thank you for your comments, we welcome your feedback however would like to share with you some of our restaurant offerings.

Reef Deli & Wine Lounge
Adjacent to the pool with indoor and outdoor seating, the Reef Deli & Wine Lounge features a blend of culinary offerings with a core element of ever-popular, deli-style comfort foods brought together with a wide selection of old world and new world wines. Get out of the sun for a moment and enjoy simple favorites, paired with your vintage of choice. Nibble on cheeses and cold cuts while sharing a bottle of wine and enjoying your holidays with your family and friends.

Menu Highlights: Sesame crusted tuna, Homemade marinated spare ribs, classic Thai dishes. or a favorite of mine : Grilled Chicken Breast served with caramelized shallots, mushroom and bacon sauce

Shoreline Beach Club
Located directly on the Khao Takiab beachfront, this BBQ beachside lounge offers simple, grill favorites by day and a more extensive barbecue choice in the evening. Upbeat lounge sounds and drinks designed with an element of sharing ensure a liberal dose of hip. The entire experience is one of simplicity and togetherness.

Menu Highlights: Imported NZ lamb chops ( Personal favorite of mine) Australian beef steaks, local Thai marinated squid sticks ( hot favorite amongst the locals)

Aqua - pool bar
The menu blends international poolside favorites with “Tastes of Thailand” including a range of Thai bites. Both Thai and foreign guests alike will enjoy snacking all day on our Thai street food, with noodle soups, satay, fresh fruits and other street side dishes.

Menu Highlights: Create your own noodles at our very own "Thai Street Style Noodle Cart" , Create your own pizza's.

We also can recommend some fantastic restaurants within walking and 2km driving distance of our hotel. looking forward to welcoming you back in the future.

If you have children be very careful at this hotel, its news but the construction is very shoody.... upon entering the room (I will call it a room even though it was classed by the hotel as a suite - suites should have a bathroom in the living area which ours did not and the mini bar fridge was very small and not cold). So upon entering the room my 1 year old son had promptly removed the electric power plug from the wall which was not glued or secured correctly during the construction. I turned around to find my son with his hand inside the wall playing with live electrical wires. Not good!
I travel so don't get time to read the daily newspaper. I keep the newspapers each week to read over the weekend. I had these on a table in the room and house keeping removed them and disposed of them!
The coffee tasted terrible.
Positive things - foods was good, drinks at pool bar and beach club were very professional. Staff friendly and nice.

Dear Australiajames

Thank you for your recent review of our hotel, we are sorry that the above mentioned incidents has happened during your stay. We have taken corrective action regarding that if old newspapers are left on the table, they should be arrange neatly and kept on the table after daily housekeeping has been through.

With regards to the incident with your child playing with the socket, please note that we have found that force has been used to remove the plastic cover from the wall socket, however at no time were any wires exposed. We have looked into this with our engineering team and looking at ways of re sealing the cover so that the casing cannot be penetrated in the future.

We take pride on ensuring that our hotel is a number 1 family hotel with various child friendly rooms and activities available upon arrival. Our suites are 78 sqm in size, built with separate bath tub and walk-in rain shower, plus featuring a separate bedroom and living room.

We hope that we can welcome you back to ensure a more memorable stay next time.please do not hesitate to contact myself or our team.

Thank you
