We stayed for the 2nd time in Anantara Hua Hin, and there will be definitely a 3rd time!
Friendly people, the best food and amazing rooms.
The resort is wonderful and very clean. Great management and the service is outstanding. Nothing but positive things about Anantara.
Next trips to Anantara Bangkok and Anantara Bophut in Koh Samui!

We've just returned from spending eight nights at the Anantara Hotel, this was one of the most amazing hotels we have ever stayed in. The grounds are just stunning, the hotel is tucked just of the main road and right on the beach so it feels like a little hideaway! We stayed in a deluxe garden view room which was nice, clean and functional. The Lagoon rooms look gorgeous from the outside so if you can afford to stay in them I think they'd make an already amazing stay even better.
Our only complaint was the there really weren't enough sunbeds, it's great that your not all squeezed in, but if your not up early you wont get a bed. You can always get a sunbed by the beach but the private beach had people walking up and down selling sarongs etc, which wasn't very relaxing.
What really makes this hotel extra special is the staff, they can't do enough to help you and are so friendly and polite. Alex the experience guru was great at helping us arrange lots of trips and the hotel is in a great location for sight seeing.

Anantara was impressive, decor wise. The reception was impressive, the gardens and pool were lovely and the beach was very nice.
Check-In
Quick and efficient

Room
Really nice and comfortable. I think it looks nicer than even the pictures. We stayed at the Garden View connecting rooms. Slight view of the beach. Love the wooden shiny floor. I really hate those tile floors! Bathroom was a bit small but it was OK. The bed was really comfortable. Good pillows. Generous supply of hangers.
The only thing - Bathroom amenities were very limited for supposedly high grade resort - Only shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and body lotion. Oh ya, shower cap and cotton buds. Nothing else. I expect toothbrush, etc, but nil. Perhaps these were 'Requested Items'.

Meals
We only had breakfast. The rotation for the 3 breakfasts I had there was I think above average since for all 3 breakfasts there were differing Thai dishes. Some hotels rotate on a 2 days circle. Here, at least 3 days. Quite a good spread. The only thing is it gets a bit warm for me after a while since it is outdoor, being the weekend it got really crowded and they opened up the air-conditioned restaurant once the outdoor breakfast section got filled up. But since I was there early and the breakfast was still pretty empty and I knew they would have to open up the air conditioned section later I asked them whether I could have a table in the aircond section. But they said no. They would only open that section up later. Actually they would have known what would be the breakfast patrons' number since they would have known the occupancy of the hotel, so why not open up all sections from earlier on? I am sure there are those who arrived later and had no choice but to dine in the aircond section there may be some who would have preferred the outdoor section. But what they had done was to not give much choice to the diners.

Location
Private beach so it was a really clean and quiet beach. However, you will need a car to stay here. There is really nothing at all outside the hotel. There is a bar next door. But the area is away from Hua Hin town center or the public beach. Thus, no shops, eating places, massage places, etc. If you like to be surrounded by these you are better off staying at the Hilton Hotel. Actually despite having a car I still prefer the location of Hilton to here since it would have been easier for people in our group since some wanted to have late night massages while others wanted to go back to the hotel. So we had to drive back to the hotel after dinner to drop off some people before heading out to massage again. If we had those activities right in the vicinity of the hotel it would have been better,

Service
Service was faultless. I like that they had a stack of towels by the stairs for guests to use anytime. Also, when we asked for ice it was brought over within 5 minutes.

Overall, it was a truly enjoyable stay. Would have like to have more time to spend at the hotel by the pool or the beach but the food, markets and waterfalls of Hua Hin were too much of a draw! If I am to complain, aside from the hotel not having anything if interest within its vicinity, I also found the walk from the lobby to our rooms quite far and opened to the elements. Luckily it didn't rain while we were there. But the walk back after a whole day of gallivanting all over Hua Hin was quite tiresome, despite the beautiful surroundings.

Our team is on our mission to Hua Hin and somehow we can’t leave Hua Hin the way we planned. Fortunately; Anantara Hua Hin is available on the day. Staffs are lovely. We got there quite early and the room is not ready for us to check in yet. Hotel staffs invited us to chill at the bar and brought in refreshment. The room is lovely, very comfortable bed and nice aroma in the room. Staffs were sincerely thoughtful; prepare extra personal tools available in the room. From front office to beach front bar, all staffs knew our situation and ready to help us. Bathroom is the best! Very clean and functional!

Room Tip: beach view always nice!

Just come back from Thailand and had a wonderful time at this resort. We went for my daughter's 21st birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are very helpful and polite and cannot do enough for you to make your stay enjoyable. Alex the hotel tour expert was very helpful and knowledgeable. We went on the waterfall and elephant ride tour which was fantastic.

I highly recommend this hotel you will not be disappointed at all.

Room Tip: The best room I would say is the Lagoon Rooms

It’s easier to get sucked in to tropical resorts. The post card looks great the website show pictures of happy couples, exotic destinations and tantalizing food, but so many of us have sometimes arrived at our destination wondering where we are and what went wrong. My stay at the Anantara Hua Hin was not one of those experiences. The arrival experience is just that, an experience, driving through the walls of the Anantara, it’s clear you are at your tropical destination, a destination worth the 3 hour drive from Bangkok.
After check in I am greeted by the F&B Manager and the Rooms Division manager who offer to help book my dinner and offer me a sincere apology that the GM is unable to meet me himself.
Walking through the lush landscaped resort, guests are transported into an exotic paradise. It’s exactly what a resort should like should you take a minute to imagine a resort. Garden paths and water ways, small local authentic and slightly eccentric statues, line the approach.
The beds and the rooms are big and luxurious, but not in a messy finicky style or manner but one of simple luxuries that seem like a throwback to the colonial era. The bathroom is large with a more than large bath tub that makes you instantly want to fill it up, sit down and soak in the bubbles. The room and the resort is filled with colours and textures that make you want to put your hand out and run your finger along every surface.
The resort suits a family perfectly but would do just fine for honeymooners on a hideaway. Nestled on the beach and just a 10 minute drive from Hua Hin town, it’s the kind of destination that you look for. The right bit of this, to go with the right part of that. A piece of paradise just a stone throw away from all the action.
Breakfast lovers will delight in the cusine, a varied spread including healthy meals as well as those with an appetite for sweet and savoury things. With a variety of restaurants and outlets, those looking to chill could comfortably dine without feeling the boredom set in after day 2.
The Anantara Hua Hin is the perfect choice for family vacation or a romantic getaway. Location is ideal, the resort is beautiful and service is fantastic. Highly recommended!

The 187-room Anantara Resort Hua Hin is a distinctive Thai village-style property located on the sunrise coast of the Gulf of Thailand, around 220 kms south of Bangkok. Hidden amidst 14 acres of luxuriantly landscaped gardens and lagoon pools, the picturesque resort enjoys a beachfront location at the quiet end of Hua Hin's long sandy beach for only 5 kms. from Hua Hin town centre. A three-meters high terracotta wall cleverly cocoons the resort from the hustle and bustle of town. As you make your way along the landscaped driveway, a sense of calm descends. The sense of arrival is heightened as you admire a decorative wall adorned with a parade of elephants. A cool breeze drifting in from the beach floats through the open-air Lobby with the strains of a melodic Thai tune lingering. Polished timber floors and Thai-style salas (pavilions) heighten the ambience of an intimate tropical hideaway. ... more   less
