After many year Hilton took over the previous hotel but the rooms still looks old ( and old fashion style) same as the previous hotel the bathroom is also. The frame of the door to barcony is look cheap. For the weekend I have be asked to pay 9100 bath is too expensive for this quality. There are many steps to access pool is unconvenience for the wheelchair or old people.

This is an older property that is relatively well maintained, but you do sense the age of the property in the furnishings and the elevators. Excellent location on the Gulf of Thailand and center of town. Just outside the hotel is a wealth of restaurant options, drop off laundry, conveyance stores and such. No need to pay the high price hotel food, beverage and laundry rates, just step outside and enjoy a wide range of choices. A small supermarket is available 3 minutes away (turn left out of hotel, right at four way intersection (Damnoen Kasam and it’s on the left).

Hotel is on the beach at the end of the walkable stretch (during high tide). To the left are docks and the beach is impassable during high tide. But to the right, you have about 5 miles (8KM) of open beach to walk. The area immediately to the right of the hotel posts around a hundred umbrellas making it a difficult part of the beach to pass. But other than that – its fully accessible.

Of no fault to Hilton, the beach is not the cleanest and well maintained. There are some garbage pickers who do litter patrol, but more is needed. There is also a horse problem where horses are used for entertainment rides and by security. Unfortunately the horses are not beach broken and there can be some rather large horse droppings to navigate.

Railway station is 10 minute walk from the hotel

Keep in mind the hotel faces East, so no water sunsets, just get up early to enjoy beautiful sunrises over the gulf.

Internet is 3,000 THB for (3) days unless you are an upper Hilton Honors member.

No irons or ironing boards in room – when I asked for one I was told to send items to housekeeping (paid service).

Shower has a soap caddy, but no place for shampoo or conditioner, so it has to sit on the floor.

For children (I don’t have any), the hotel as an Adventure Club with activities geared towards them.

The downside of the property is the staff. An overall lack of interest and willingness to assist. This is my impression from the Front Desk to the Executive Lounge. For local and sightseeing assistance, the Executive Lounge is worthless. The answer is get a taxi or hotel car. Not willing to explain how to use local transportation. One example to visit Wat Khao Takiab (monkey mountain) the taxi estimate was 500 THB. Instead I took the local pickup van (green with yellow stripe) for 10 THB each way. Easy.

Room Tip: Take advantage of the nearby restaurants and laundry service and save a ton of cash

I recently returned to The Hilton for the fourth time and once again i was not disappointed. The location of this hotel is perfect and is situated right on the beachfront. It is also close to external restaurants and entertainment areas as well as within walking distance of the Hua Hin night market.
A group of us use this as a base for our golfing trip and the resort type atmosphere of the resort encourages one to refresh and relax.
The courtesy of the staff is excellent in particular the front desk and the concierge services,
The rooms are probably due for renovations and updating, however this hotel is all about location and i will certainly be returning later this year.

I realise it is hard to keep all properties at the same level of style and decor. Whilst the club lounge and evening drinks on the 17th floor were welcome and the staff were very helpful, the rooms and many of the public areas were dated and tired. We had an upgraded exec room that really was like all the other rooms. The towels when we arrived were equally tired and worn, housekeeping changed them.
We had to take breakfast in the main area on the ground floor the first day. We arrived at 10:00 to find many of the stands not replenished and staff that didn't seem to know what they were doing and were not keeping an eye on their station. Poached eggs to ages and were not great (both days).
I did raise my observations with the Front Desk Manager who said they would be communicated to the General Manager.
On the plus side the location is excellent and is immediately next to shops, bars, etc. The grounds are nice with different areas and the back of the hotel opens onto the beach.

We were worried by some of the recent reviews, but our return on 2nd April for 23 nights could not have been better. We were 'upgraded' to an Executive room with a lovely view of the rising sun and to the south. Housekeeping was more than adequate, and we enjoyed food in both the Market Garden and the Chay Hud. Market Garden was very busy at times, but what do you expect over Songkran? The staff everywhere were approachable, friendly, and accommodating. The number of beds booked by the pool before it even opens is increasing despite the 'rules', but this is expected worldwide from some nationalities; there were still plenty to go round. If there is a criticism it's that the 'pool boys' rarely got to our area of the pool, and drinks were not as readily available as we would have liked. That said, it's only a few steps to the bar anyway, but when you are on holiday you like to be pampered. The Hilton is the best located hotel in Hua Hin without a doubt and we will be back next year. reading some of the reviews I do wonder if people forget that it is a holiday resort hotel, not a city centre business hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are not overlooked and have the sun all day. Higher rooms are above the mos...

We tried to get away from this childish Water Festival as high up as possible in the highest hotel in town (we live 50km away). Through Agoda agency I had ticked for HIGH and view of beach and town!
This did not happen on the day of arrival: we got 2nd Floor overlooking a villas-resort and a bit of the beach south of us. In south you cannot sit on the Balcony before the sun goes down - but then the mosquitos comes up - on nearly ground floor!
The Staff was surpricingly uninterested - you have ordered through Agency - contact them if ...
The are overcrouded with Personnell - 20 poolboys only talks together - you must wake them up!
This should be a romantic get-away in the herostratic famous hotel in Hua Hin - but this is only because of the Pricelevel! Absolutely nothing included; 1 hour WiFi at 170B - wich is free in all the surrounding filthy bars.
Than God my wife have family running some good Restaurant - so we got reasonable and good food! We did not try any of the premises facilities afraid of being robbed - except the Pool - filled with cosy chinese families and noisy russians ...

This ended to be a disappointing failure, except that everyone say WOW - you have stayed in Hilton!
They must take better care of their world famous name (from Norway) - than this!
In Hua Hin they only gain from the Name. Never again ...

Room Tip: Ask for room on the north side - so you can see something and not get sunburned!

Stayed here for 9 nights between 11th and 20th April 2013. We chose this hotel in Hua Hin primarly because of its location. There is no doubt that the location is 100% excellent - when you walk out of the front of the hotel, there are many restaurants, bars and shops right on your doorstep. You can also walk to the Night Market quite easily - it is about half a mile away - or take a tuk-tuk for 100 Baht (£2.20). The hotel is situated on the beach - it's not a very beautiful beach, but if you want to walk along the sand or have a dip in the sea, it's OK. Beware of the jellyfish. So location = almost perfect.
We stayed on the 7th floor. Our room was very spacious and the air conditioning worked really well. However, the room wasn't very comfortable. The bed was very hard and not comfy at all. The chair and 2-seater sofa in the room were also hard and not comfy for more than a 5 minute sit down. The chairs on the balcony were wooden slats so not hugely comfortable either. Nowhere really to sit and read for a while. The bathroom was really big and had a sunken bath with steps, and a separate glass shower cabinet. However, the tiles looked old and the grouting needed re-done. The bathroom could have been spruced up quite cheaply and easily. The room did have a plasma screen TV, a DVD player and a CD player, and an MP3 socket. We couldn't get a good wi-fi connection in our room, unless we paid extra (170 Baht for 1 hour - approx £4). We did, however, get a good, free wi-fi connection when we sat in the lobby or round the pool area.
The Lobby area was very nice with a lovely water feature / pool area. The only restaurant we ate in was the Market Cafe for breakfast. Breakfast was very average - a buffet with most standard items available, but nothing outstanding. The Asian breakfast was probably the best thing.
We did feel that the service from the staff wasn't great. Examples are - when lying beside the swimming pool, we were never approached to ask if we would like drinks, or offered cool cloths; dishes often lay for ages without being cleared away; at breakfast, we often had to find an empty table ourselves with no-one offering to show us to one; we were given coffee and orange juice when we sat down, but no-one ever returned to ask if we wanted more; things like that. We do accept that our stay was over Songkran - Thai New Year - and some of their staff might have been off on holiday. Overall, the service was very average.
The swimming pool area and the gardens were really lovely. The plants were very well tended and the flowers were gorgeous. The guys who look after the sun loungers and towels did a good job directing us to available beds and helping us with shade, etc.
To sum up, if location is important to you, and you like to be able to access a lot of restaurants and shops right outside your door - this is the hotel for you. If you want a comfortable, luxurious hotel with first rate service - stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better to get a good view of Hua Hin.
