“Fantastic hotel in perfect location”
Reviewed 30 May 2010

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Hua hin staying at the beautiful Hilton Hotel. The staff were so pleasant and helpful from the moment we arrived and all seem genuinely to love working here, nothing is too much trouble and everyone is so friendly. The hotel has a perfect location, overlooking the sea and beach yet central to the town and within easy walking distance of the night market, shops and restaurants. The town was quieter than usual while we were here due to the troubles in Bangkok but we felt perfectly safe and despite the reduction in tourists the town was still bustling and upbeat.
Our room was quiet, spacious and modern with a good sized balcony overlooking the bay. Tea and coffee making facilities and fresh bottled water daily. Breakfast was 'out of this world' with so much choice including Thai, Sushi, English, American, smoothie bar, bakery, salad and fruit etc etc.. all fresh and absolutely delicious.
The pool is well designed and there are also landscaped gardens to relax in. We enjoyed a night cap at the club bar on the roof with its breathtaking views and were fascinated watching an electric storm in the distance one night chasing around the landscape.
The nearby seafood restaurants overlooking the sea serve fresh local food at reasonable prices and we would make special mention of Nina at her Moonlight restaurant and bar on the beach close to the Hilton it is the best little bar on the beach clean and bright with cheap sunbeds to hire for the day delicious food and drinks and friendly and helpful service.

Just returned from an 8 night stay at the Hilton, Hua Hin. I had read all the reviews prior to going and most were fairly accurate. The hotel location is probably the best in Hua Hin if you like to be in the thick of it. Located right in the town centre, bars, shops and restaurants all within walking distance.
The bedrooms are getting a bit tired, but were a good size, we were lucky enough to have 2 interconnecting rooms which gave us lots of space. Fantastic views over the pool, and out to sea. Rooms were very quiet never heard any noises from the rest of the hotel. Rooms very clean and excellent air con! - only downside the beds are rock hard.
We ate in the Market Place which was OK, lacked atmosphere but the food was good although more expensive if we had eaten in one of the restuarants outside.
Pool area kept very clean, hotel was relatively busy as we were there over the Easter period but we never had a probelm securing sunbeds on any days, regardless of the time of day. We ate at the pool bar most days, good food service a little slow at times, but when you are just chilling in the sunshine who cares!
We had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar, and enjoyed the singers one of the evenings.
We werent due to leave until 6.30pm on our last day and the hotel very kindly found a room for us to use until that time at no extra charge which was a lovely bonus.
All in all a great location and hotel for all ages really. One thing of note weather was exceedingly hot 39 degrees each day, no clouds or rain (not that I'm complaining) but the resort gets very windy from late morning onwards which can make sitting in that kind of heat very deceptive, we saw a lot of sun burn, including ourselves!
I used the hotel spa on one occasion for a massage which was excellent and half the price of the one I paid for in Bangkok, did feel slightly pressurised into going back again by the staff there only draw back.
I also enjoyed a Thai cooking class - if you love thai food and cooking this was a fantastic experience and would recommend to everyone, I learnt loads.

Booked a club room for 4 nights from 4th April. When we checked in on the 17th floor we were immediately greeted with an upgrade to a 15th floor suite. A great welcome after a 3 hour drive from Bangkok airport. Superb room with great bathroom amenities. Southerly views from one balcony were superb and a second balcony gave views of the city and surrounds.
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and we haven't been disappointed.
Club lounge amenities and staff were superb. It includes free internet, cocktail happy hour, all day nibbles.
Town is small enough to wander around and seediness is minimal. No harassment here for girls or dvd a la Patpong.

The location is perfect, right on the ( overcrowded ) beach and walking distance for whatever you want to do , the hotel has everything you need as you expect from a Hilton , a fantastic breakfast , its not a business hotel , rooms are getting a bit old and drinks are a bit to expensive for a holiday spot , Internet is a real rip off at 400Thb/ hour ,even a 7 day package cost double the monthly fee at home but must recon speed was super fast..
Hard to get a sun bed at around the pool since most guests are blocking the beds with towels and other stuff and this starting at 06.30 am , blocking even beds at different locations depending on how the sun will turn around ,frustrating to watch and experience all this and a lot of them even don’t show up for hours and take away other guest the chance to enjoy the pool area , this should not happen in a Hilton ,staff does not care about this.

We had a great bay view from our 12th floor room. The hotel is ideally located for the town and beach. It serves a very varied breakfast and the White Lotus Chinese restaurant was particularly good with great views at night. I liked the lobby for pre-dinner cocktails and the staff were very pleasant. My only negatives are that it's a big hotel and could have been anywhere but that was my choice and it felt a little tired, in need of some refurbishment in the guest rooms and main restaurant. I would stay somewhere smaller next time with more of an intimate Thai feel. (see my other review for Hua Hin)

You will find better 2 and 3 stars hotels... Not worth the money. The beach is the worst beach in Thailand. It is very, very dirty and the smell from all the horses is not good. Hua Hin is even more expensive then Phuket.
Breakfast is ok.
