“Nothing to recommend it”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

Having read the reviews we thought we would have a change, and try this place. We had in fact had a drink here some 4-5 years ago when staying in Khao Takiab, and had not been over impressed then. On arrival around 730 we noted 2 guys (farangs) sitting at the bar but no one else. We looked at the menu and as nothing stood out as obvious choices - rather uninspiring in fact - so we thought we would just have a couple of (not cheap, as it turned out) beers.

We were served, no one spoke to us, we were hardly acknowledged. We finished our drinks paid and left.

We found it probably the least welcoming bar we have encountered in many visits to Hua Hin. Really just nothing to recommend it.

Dear Gloandblow.

I am really sorry that you chose to respond in such a negative way about our family run cafe. Unfortunately, we do not get much to say about who decides to enter the bar at any given time, and cannot help the fact that there were two farangs ( non Thai People) sitting at the bar, a thing that they are entitled to do.

I, personally, was in hospital at the time of ypur vist so I apologise for not greeting you, a shame since. I am too from London, but have been in this part of the world for18 years and may have been able to share some of those experiences..

Since you didn't 't try any of our 'uninspiring' dishes on our menu I find it hard how you can comment on the uninspiring part!, we get very few complaints about our food quality and many compliments as will be seen from other reviews.(by people who actually tried the fodd).

As far as being served expensive beer, the other bars in the area are all comparable in price, but we are sorry that you felt that way..

Anyway, we hope that you enjoy the remainder of your stay and feel sorry and disappointed that you decided to make your views known in this manner.

“Little Gem”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

We were recommended the Sunday Roast by some friends and we were definitely not disappointed. The food was superb with a selection of 4 different vegetables, 2 types of potatoes and some gorgeous little sausages. The roast pork was "to die for". Mike and Noi are superb hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Based on previous reviews we will definitely be going there later this week to try the Thai food. I have to say I am slightly reluctant to recommend this restaurant so highly as I am concerned we won't get a table next Sunday!!

“A Delight!”
Reviewed 11 February 2014

This is the most charming family run business & amazing place to eat curry! We arrived late afternoon & were served a fresh plate of veggie spring rolls with sweet sauce, Panang curry with pork, Green curry with chicken & Sangsong with juice. The spring rolls were so fresh & well prepared, the Panang curry is a must & the green curry was also very high quality. My husband & I were treated so well by this family & enjoyed our time sitting & chatting away. They offer a kickback environment with top quality food. I know we will eat here again & likely eat the same dishes.
