“Best Bread Pudding Ever”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

During our trip to Hua Hin last year, my partner and I came across this little posh-looking diner along the streets and before we know it, we had 2 consecutive meals(dinner followed by lunch the next day) there because it was just so satisfying and we couldn't get enough of their foie gras and do not miss out on their bread pudding!!! It is to die for and up till today, I crave for it every now and then!!!

“Just a lovely experience!”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

This is fast becoming our favourite restaurant. We went today just because it's Wednesday, but we are planning to go for birthdays, with visitors etc. It's what Paris used to be like 20 years ago! The service is brilliant, the food and wine exquisite and the lunch menu fabulous value for money. If you want super cheap and huge portions go elsewhere. This is beautifully presented, excellent food and, although on the high side price wise for Hua Hin, it's worth every penny. Always feel good after we've had lunch here.

“Very disappointing”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

A lot of publicity is made on the lunch menus, around 400 baht. But if you go there for dinner…..be ready to be knocked on the head when the bill comes. Paying 820 baht for…..3 medium sized scallops, topped with some small green asparagus and mushroom slices is totally overpriced. My Tartar steak was ok, but the smoked salmon plate at baht 490 is also too expensive if compared to a similar appetiser in another French restaurant. The staff is caring, ok, but too caring…….they stay too close to the table during the meal, which makes you feel like telling them to back off a bit….The quality of the food is good, but……for what the quantity is concerned …..dont go there if you are really hungry. As a summary, very high bill when related to the food received. I will never go back there.

“Absolutely Brilliant”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

What a treat, the presentation of the meals superb, the plated mushroom soup looked like those photos of the Nebulus. The TarTar the best I have ever had, but did take the kitchens offer of mixing, which was a good move. The beef braise did just melt, never tasted better. Daughters salmon starter perfect, nothing left on the plate. My sons escargots brilliant, arrived in a jar on top of the best mashed potato (oil infused) we have ever had. A truly memorable experience. Probably 2/3 the price we would pay in Perth, but quality of food and visual leaves the rest for dead. The service was also top notch. Don't miss this place!

“A Gem in Hua Hin”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Hua Hin has a large number of Thai/Seafood restaurants. However as a Westerner there are times when you want some something different. Le Bistro is a small French restaurant in a central location on Phetkasaem Road. The set lunch is excellent value at B 350 (€8)for 2 or B 450 (€10)for 3 courses. Water and coffee are included in the price. The food quality is excellent.
I had a tuna salad starter followed by pork filet in mustard sauce. House wine was €4.50/glass.
Service was very good.
Overall a great experience in a nice setting.
