Fairly standard night market; street food, fake Dr Beats headphones, Tiger Beer t-shirts and all the other mix that goes with . . .

We visited this market every night while staying in Hua Hin, it was always bustling and there was opportunity for great food, varying from street food style spring rolls and mango sticky rice, through to some great seafood restaurants.

We also picked up some nice souvenirs and in the bazaar area I had a fish pedicure, which was lovely!

It is very touristy... But in a nice way, full of atmosphere and a fun way to spend an evening.

This market is typical of dry/wet markets in many countries. If one lives in an Asian country, for example, such markets are common and this one does not hold much that is different. It is an indoor market covering quite a large area and contains many stalls selling fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts, clothes for adults and children, toys, cloth to be bought by the metre, etc. The price of bags of cashew nuts was significantly cheaper than at home.

If you have not visited such a market before then it is worthwhile paying a visit. But, be aware that some of the walkways are not brightly lit, can be uneven and tend to be wet in parts so watch where you walk and how you walk - wear flip flops or similar.

We visited this market during the day and it was very quiet. Frequently night markets are more lively and may have a wider selection of goods - as we have found on a previous visit to Hua Hin.

So, experience a night market!

Local & wet markets are always fun. Be careful of where you point- I was looking at a fruit I hadn't seen, pointed it to my hubby & boom- a whole bag for 10baht. I also had a fishmonger singing the praises of a particular fish & what I could cook with it until untold her I was in a hotel. All good fun to chat with people who want to practice their English or play charades.
Got some kids clothes I hadn't seen at the night market.
It's such a maze, just let yourself wander. So many things that you won't see at home.

A lot to see and buy but we spent so much at the night market that was outside this place that we were broke by the time we got in here lol.
As you walk the night market, look out for someone holding the sign 'new night market' as that is chat chai night market. Wonder why the don't use the name itself ???
