First, it's right on the beach which is a luxury in Hua Hin now with so many properties saying on the beach but in fact a bloc or more away. Set in Takiap, certainly the more attractive and quiet area at the South end of Hua Hin. Second it has larges rooms with huge bathroom and balconies and although the hotel show signs of aging, it offers good value as long as you don't get there on the full price! Also a very convenient location to go have diner of fresh seafood at the Takiap small fishing port after strolling at sunset in the pagoda of monkeys on the hill right next to it.

Room Tip: Rooms are different in layout, so maybe good to visit a couple before setting in!

Thank you for your comment earlier when you stayed with us in early 2013.

We are very pleased to inform you that we have completed the big renovation finished by the end of 2013 with the investment amount for the renovation of almost 40 million baht. Everything is brandnew. The staff crews were professionally retrained and we also have new hired staff. We can promise you that this is the best team we have got. They are fantastic staff and very attentive. You would be able to see from the recent reviews in 2014.

Kind regards,

Regrettably, I booked this hotel on Agoda that lists it as the Rock Hui Hin Beach Resort and Spa. I thought the taxi driver had taken us to the wrong place....but alas he hadn't. There is no spa there and what is there is not at all what the Agoda website advertises. The rooms are indeed big, but you would not put your big toe in the oversize but completely worn out tub. The ocean view is an utter joke. You get a slight glimpse of the sea from a few second floor rooms if you have a telescope.
The beach is not accessable until around 3.30 pm due to the tides. The breakfast was the leanest breakfast buffet I have ever seen.
Generally, the resort is very run down and is in desperate need of a paint job even along the walkways.
The first night we had a room on the ground floor that had an unlocked door to the outside via our shower. The second night, the balcony screen door would not lock. The internet was basically out of order.
To top things off they want a ridiculous amount to money to stay in this place. Sadly, an overall disappointing experience.

Room Tip: There is no SPA!!!!!!

I went there with my father during 25-27 Dec 2012. Requested for twin beds, but they couldn't manage. It's ok because it's partially my fault for not placing the request from the beginning. Firstly, I thought it's a new boutique and it turned out to be a pretty old one. I still needed to lock the room with a key from outside. The pool is very narrow as well as the whole area of beach front. The pool bar was opened until 7pm only and there's no happy hour. The restaurant, in contrary, is situated by the road side. We were hoping to have breakfast by the sea, but it's not the case here. All receptionists presented poor service minds. They were so unfriendly, no welcoming smile or warm greeting. Very bad impression from day 1 until we checked out.

What was great was people at their small restaurant. All of them were lovely, full of service minds, helpful and most polite including the chef. Food was tasty even though it's nothing special. This part of the hotel was the only good thing about the service here.

The room is spacious but as mentioned above it's quite old. Overall is disappointing. I will not return and will not recommend any of my friends.

Thanks.
