“Wonderful beach side hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2014

As good as any boutique resorts, attending service and decent food, although we did not enjoy their attempts on some of the western style dishes, all traditional Thai dishes were spot on, cocktails were good but for a luxury hotel they lack the "luxe" factor.

My experience in communicating with James the resident manager prior to arrival was disappointingly difficult, particularly having read other review praising his service and had expected the same. There were many back and forth emails just to try and get specific information about day tours and spa which were requested clearly at first attempt, I found his responses to me came across brash and lacking details. When we arrive non of the activities I had confirm with him were arranged, resulting us not being able to get the spa treatments we had requested, being a full house during the time of our visit, we only managed to squeeze in for a one our treatment and nothing more for the rest of our 4 days stay (we ended up going to Sheraton further down the road for spa, it was great!). We also did not have the honor of meeting James at all, even though I could see him sitting in his office with his door opened the whole time we were checking in right out side and inquiring about the arrangements I supposedly had made with James.

Other then that we had a stay with everything we asked for, right on the beach in a quiet sea side location, perfect R+R.

We came to Aleenta for our honeymoon and could not have chosen a better place!

The location of the hotel is wonderful, such a quiet and peaceful place. Lots of little restaurants to discover and lovely beaches to walk along. I recommend hiring a scooter (do it from a local place, not the hotel, sorry Aleenta, your price was 4 times the local guy down the road!).

Our room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. It was nice to see that there are no TVs. Who needs a TV when you have an unobstructed view of the sea from your private swimming pool?

The hotel's main swimming pool is also wonderful, and the spa upstairs was lovely. Having an open air massage whiles't listening to the sound of the waves lapping at the beach is my idea of heaven.

The restaurant seemed nice, however we only had breakfast there. The breakfasts were very nice.

All the staff were very friendly and eager to help, always with a smile on their faces. The staff at the bar and at breakfast were particularly nice.

Pranburi is a lovely little town, and Hua Hin (if you fancy a bit of hustle and bustle city life) is about 25mins away. The best way to get there is to hire a taxi from one of the many massage places along the main road of Pranburi as they have good prices (and great outdoor massages!) For restaurants head to Udom which is just down the road from the hotel, it has great seafood and very good prices.

All in all a fantastic hotel. We plan to come back next year.

Many thanks to James the Residential Manager who helped make our stay so wonderful. See you again soon!

Room Tip: We took a 'Palm Pool Villa' and had villa number 4. Perhaps avoid this room as it is set bac...

We have visited most of the Aleenta chain of hotels , with Hua Hin being our favourite. It is still our favourite place to visit , and will be going back again without a questions of a doubt. I must say that Aleenta has moved on , in terms of company ethos , and we liked the fact that , they have a community garden , and there is obvious signs of support for the local people. The beach absolutely immaculate , the service offered by the staff was overall exceptional . We did however have some minor issues this trip , and some frustrations , which I must say were addressed by management , but were ,non the less , a bit of a disappointment. However, that being said , nobody , can get everything absolutely perfect all of the time , and it would not detract us from going back. A must visit is the Cicada Market , which was recommended to us by James the manager. I was extremely sceptical , but wow wow wow , great experience. There were ample places along the road for massage , and we tend to hire a scooter and shuttle up and down the road enjoying local cuisine. If your looking for hectic night life and parties , this is the wrong place , this is boutique living , with lots of down time , relaxation , and experiences in abundance if you take a short bus shuttle. Thank you Aleenta once again , and we will see you 2015.

We stayed at the Aleenta for 3 nights on an epic 50th birthday celebration. James and his team were fantastic and pulled out all the stops for 3 days of different events. The unpredictable thunder storm did even dampen the events as the team had all the bases covered. Pool games organised James on the Friday afternoon we a highlight of the fun side and the numerous fine dining experiences every evening prepared by the resort chefs were unforgettable. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

If your looking to organise an event such as a wedding or special occasion the organisation and contingency plans which the team delivered will ensure everything goes to plan and you will never be disappointed.

For us Aleenta provided a totally relaxing and peaceful holiday the first time we stayed there last year and we didn't hesitate returning this year in April. It is a place to chill out completely and relax, enjoy deliciously fresh food and long walks on beautiful sandy beaches. Tai chi and stretching every morning on the patio of our Palm villa overlooking the sea and rising sun, what a fabulous way to start the day!! The Aleenta prides itself on its fresh food and there is plenty of it. Once again many thanks to James and his staff for looking after us so well. We are already planning on returning next year!

Room Tip: We like staying in the Palm villas, they also have a small pool which overlooks the sea.

My wife and I have stayed twice at the Aleenta in Pranburi, both extended stays. We wanted peace and quiet, a small resort, not to be trapped miles from other restaurants/bars and kite-surfing. That's what we got. On both occasions we have loved the location, the room, the food and the staff. Hotel food is reasonably priced and tasty, but if you want more variety there are plenty of local restaurants that do the trick too. We travelled by bicycle or tuk tuk, both provided free of charge by the hotel. The room looked straight on to the beach, with a terrace and jacuzzi pool. We loved being able to order food from the restaurant menu and to eato it in the privacy of our own seaside terrace. For us, a perfect holiday location.

We had a 6 night stay & I celebrated a significant birthday there, we had a private candlelit dinner on the beach to celebrate & they happily made me a small gluten free birthday cake. The resort is quiet, simple & at times a little rustic but that's what we were looking for. When you want to do more it's easily available, we went into Hua Hin by taxi some evenings & hired bikes & jet skis all of our arrangements were made through reception & done efficiently. The restaurant were always happy to make me gluten free bread at breakfast & on several occasions made us some items that were not on the room service menu. Never had an issue with the toilet except you mustn't put paper down it. The team were always helpful and most importantly we thoroughly relaxed & didn't want to leave the lovely resort & Pranburi area. We teamed it with a trip to Bangkok where we got our fix of shopping & tourist activity, Pranburi is a very simple & relaxing resort and we would definitely return to Aleenta. Thanks to the whole team, in my opinion they try hard, and it's a lovely position on a very unspoilt beach we we had to ourselves most days.
