“Amazing resort and staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2013

Welcome

I stayed at Sabai@Kan last weekend for one night ŵith my wife and kids. It is a short distance from the station. You are given a genuine Thai welcome and shown to the rooms. The rooms are spacious and very clean with a nice bathroom.

Swimming pool

The swimming pool is reasonably sized with enough room for a 3-4 families with kids.

Food

We ate at the restaurant and the food was lovely its even onion rings, cooked freshly, which our kids loved. Breakfast was also very good. The food is fresh and cooked to order for each party.

Other services

Lots of good advice on Thailand and dos and don'ts.

The resort arranged transport for us to Hellfire Pass which was the reason for our visit. See my later review on hellfire pass.

For a family or anyone wanting a good, quiet place to stay it is a great choice.

We stayed here for a a few days in July. We enjoyed a ground floor room with a garden view near to the pool, the room is well equipped, and very clean. We travelled with our teenage daughter, and the room worked well for all three of us. The hotel reception and management team are very friendly and helpful. The location is very good, midway between the bridge and the lively bar/restaurant area. Kanchanaburi, like a lot of Thailand is very lively, but waling through reception and into the charming garden hotel is like arriving at a tranquil oasis.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our ground floor, garden view room with direct access to the garden and pool.

We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful resort. We arrived by mini van from Bangkok which took about 2 hours. At the central square we took a local taxi to the resort.

We stayed in a grond floor room overlooking the garden. You also had a terrace. The room was clean and airconditioned. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is nice too.

Ou can rent bikes close by to cycle to the centre. In addition you can make beautiful excursions to waterfalls and death railway.

I can recommand this hotel to others.

We chose this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and ratings and were not disappointed. The hotel is located at the end of the main strip. It's a short walk to the right to loads of restaurants, bars and a 7-Eleven. About a 15 minute walk to the left (or short taxi ride) is the World War II Museum and River Kwai Bridge.

The rooms are large, bed was very comfortable. Not hard like some Thai hotels. They provide separate towels for the bath, pool and excursions. The hotel staff is very friendly and can arrange any tour or transportation you may need. The breakfast offers a mix of fruit, thai noodles and rice, and traditional western fair.

The pool is in a garden setting and very refreshing after a day out and about. There is honestly nothing I can complain about and that is a rarity for me and hotels!

A tad dated looking, but clean, comfortable hotel.
Rooms were good and big and clean.
The pool was a bit small but nice, and quaint.

Good, without been spectacular,

It also located very near the strip that has all bars and the like so thats good.

One word of advice about kanchanaburi, It would be a nice enough town,if there was less town. the streets are over run with dogs, and they bark and growl. I am not a dog person, so this scares me, especially when you don't have a rabies shot!

Breakfast had a lot of variety.

Arrived here after a long hot journey from Bangkok and immediately fell in love. Had a ground floor room overlooking the gardens and pool area. This was a tiny oasis that didn't look a lot from the front but once through the doors was fabulous. The staff were more than helpful. Room very spacious and clean. Pool area small but enough to cool down in following a hot day touring. Had one evening meal which was overpriced compared to other meals but was tasty. Excellent location. Would most definitely stay here again. Thanks for an amazing trip.
