We visited this hotel for 2 nights towards the end of a trip to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Kanchanaburi is a lovely place and this hotel couldn't be better situated. The staff are attentive but not fussy, the rooms are smallish but well equipped and had the most comfortable bed of our trip. Whether sitting on the terrace enjoying a drink, or taking a dip in the pool, you are in the most beautiful surroundings and have a stunning view of the river Kwai and the bridge. There is free use of the internet, taxis and excursions to the Tiger Temple (a must !) are easily arranged by the accommodating staff. Our room worked out at about £50 a night and a good dinner was good value, although a limited choice if you stay for more than a few days. Breakfast had a great choice for everyone and can be enjoyed up until 11.00 am !

Very beautiful place, on the Khae river, with an enchanting sunset on the river, nice swimming pool, good restaurant, everything very clean, nice library. Maybe not the place to learn much about Thai people, the service is just perfect but somewhat impersonal.

We found a gem amidst the hub bub that is Kanchanaburi just up the road. The riverfront setting within view of the Bridge on the River Kwai is so peaceful and green. Sitting having a drink on the terrace or by the pool or having a meal at the restaurant was a delightful experience especially after a hot and busy day sightseeing. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with a bed that guaranteed a great night's sleep and some thoughtful provisions to add to our comfort. The staff were gracious and knowledgeable about the opportunities for sightseeing and activities around the district. Through their advice and selection of drivers we thoroughly enjoyed our days out. Our days there were unexpectedly some of the best of our time in Thailand.

It so lovely to come back to U after a day of sightseeing and be able to have a drink and take in the views of the river. So relaxing! Wish we had more time there. Was a very unexpected surprise but a lovely one.
