Even though parts of the bridge have been replaced since the war it's a fascinating piece of work. You can walk across the bridge or catch the train across. It's a wonderful experience. The views from the bridge are lovely. Probably not for the faint hearted to walk across.

The best part of seeing the bridge over the river Kwai was the porridge that was being sold from a cart like 50 feet away. I don't know what made it so amazing, but of all the food I had in Thailand, that shares the top of the list with roasted duck and a few curry dishes. I still dream about it. There was also iced coffee being made at another cart, delicious. The bridge itself was fine, made for nice pictures. I would stop there if it was on the way, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it, unless that porridge was there again.

Well there isn't a lot to see honestly. There is a war museum and the bridge. The war museum is well maintained but not something that will really stir up emotions unless you are a huge history buff.

Visited this historic place last May 22, 2014 with my family. The place offers simple museum and a re-construction of the bridge (the original one being destroyed during ww2). However the historic significance and value makes this attraction still a must see when visiting Thailand.
