If you love nature then look no further, Phanom Bencha is simply stunning. Acres and acres of forest to explore, waterfalls, wild life, view points... Also some great value accommodation close by for those that just can't leave the place behind.

It's about a 30 minute scooter ride to the National Park and a short walk to the waterfall.

We had a picnic there too with food from Tesco in Ao Nang.

The waterfall is very pretty and you can take a dip in it but it can be a little busy.

We went on our scooter for the day, only 100 baht entry with 20. Baht for scooter parking. Only 300 metres in and we came across a magnificent 3 tier waterfall. We climbed to the top via easily accessible route. Can't really swim but can enjoy the refreshing water none the less. View point is 700m climb which we did not get to complete but will next time. Worth a run out if you have scooter

You may not notice the water fall from afar but once you continue walking up to the end you will appreciate everything.

Small area to swim with but the water falls is freezing. The cascade of waters flowing into your body is like a massage of nature.

Don't just look at it, go and swim. No bathing suit? Under pants will do, just don't missed to soak to it. Going home wet is not a big deal.

Wow! What a lovely spot. Arrived after a trip to Crystal Pool, at 16.15... The park closes at 16.30!! The entry guards told us not to worry, that the gate wouldn't close to get out until 18.00. Plenty of time to enjoy the waterfall... and it was! Possibly the best time to be there as most had already gone, so swimming in the top pool on our own, and only shared a few pools below with one or two others. Very refreshing water. Some "rock climbing" to get to middle pool, but nothing too taxing if careful. Not as slimey as Crystal pool edge. Can camp in the park, and huts look cute. Maybe next time.
