Hotel is very nice, location kills it.

Stayed here with my girlfriend and a friend of ours for a few days in January 2011. The hotel itself is great, we stayed in a huge, modern room which was well worth the money. The staff were very friendly to us the whole time but really did speak very little English. Not a huge problem though really.

The hotel's location however is a real pain with taxi drivers all seeming to charge set rates at very high prices. The nearest beach is just 5 minutes away which looks great and is OK but soon as you sit down on the sand you get assaulted by irritating flies. The posh resort at the end of that beach has deckchairs but charges a fortune for them as I think it wants to keep the exclusivity for its own guests. In the area near to the hotel there are a few places to eat and drink which are pretty good. If you want a bit of peace and quiet then this may be a fine place for you but we were definitely getting bored after the first day there. If there was a cheaper way to get about the extended area then this place would be great, maybe renting motorbikes would be a good idea if you are intending to stay here.

Overall though I would still recommend this hotel, just be aware about what you are letting yourself in for with the location.

Found this hotel through sawadee but I also notice it did not have any reviews. But we tried this hotel anyway.
Pros : Great place for those who want quietness and little isolation (peace of mind)
Free internet access
Near by “unpopular” beach
A plus if you’re Muslim
Clean Rooms & Bathrooms
Unoccupied Roof Top Bar, but you can hang out if you like

Cons : Only free schettle to Ao nang Beach ( 1 time only) the next you need to go and
pay on your own
They said bicycle is free but when we asked they said its rent use.
Breakfast of Western, Thai and Chinese cuisine is very disappointing. (Small portion and limited choices)
We had to ask for DVD player
Staff speaks very little English
Quite far from airport and Ao nang Beach
Didn't promote any spa and massage

This hotel have good potential, its still new and the young staff need more experience to run the hotel place.

They have very nice staff, the room is clean, food was good enough and cheap, the room price is very reasonable, they provide free internet access however they still need to improve a lots. They promise in the website saying that shuttle to Ao Nang is free however they only give it free for one time. My recommendation, if you dont like to be crowded in Ao Nang beach and dont mind the transportation then this will be good place to stay, or else better to stay in resort near to Ao Nang beach

Not only is the price right the food was great and it's incredibly close to the beaches, both the quit one and the busy one. Gives easy access to all sorts of amenities as well.

The food on the roof top bar was great, particularly the Banana Chocolate prata. Check it out.

Of course this place is not a high-end resort like what is next door to it, but worth every penny (which incidentally isn't many).

The hotel is situated on a main road with heavy lorries going by day and night, so there is a great deal of noise and dust. The website promises free bicycles and free shuttle to AoNang -there were only 2 small bikes, one with only one pedal, and the other with a loose seat, so they were useless. Each time we asked for the free shuttle we had to argue about it as the staff asked for payment. The rooms were not very well-cleaned, and the stairways were never cleaned, even though the young staff had little to do as the hotel was almost empty - they passed most of their time in the reception area on the internet or watching TV. The advertised 'Western' breakfast was poor, very hit and miss - most days no fruit juice or cereals, and never any opportunity to 'help yourself' to water, tea or coffee. This is the first time we booked a hotel without reviews and we were very unlucky - CocoNori needs to improve.
