“Good stay in quite location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

We just stay for a night & we had a great stay in Krisada, the staff is very helpful, we rent the bike with them with very good rate, the owner are so nice, she suggested us nice restaurant for dinner, end up we ate there everyday, we went to other few hotel on the next day just to to try the different area. 10 minutes ride to Ao Nang Beach.

Room Tip: Lower room is good as you can park your bike just at the room entrance

Reviews that mention an out of the way location should admit that they didn't want to pay for staying in Ao Nang and didn't take the time to look at a map. Yes, Krisda Villa is a 10 minute ride from Ao Nang, but it offers great accommodation for an exceptionally low price. The staff was supernice, extremely accomodating to all our wishes and very helpful with helping us book further travels. Cheap motorbike rental ($5/day). Easy access to 2 nearby markets with amazing food. Great local coffee and local breakfast food diagonally across the street (get there early!). Same place also has laundry and Krisda Villa has outdoor racks for drying. Clean rooms, good wifi. Nice outdoor seating area (with a bar). Very well working AC (with remote). 2 free small waters placed in your room when it's made every day. Warm shower with great water pressure. Lockable drawers in the furniture. Right by the pier, easy access to boats to nearby islands. Family Mart and 7 Eleven very close by. Aways someone there to help out. Rooms come with decent size fridge (bigger than minibar). Soap and shampoo dispensers in bathroom. The TV has basically no english channels and the wifi can lag a bit at times, but all in all, amazing value for the price and really, really great service. Tip: Don't go to the touristy beaches, they're horribly overrun. Hop on a motorbike and go to Noppharat, Klong Muang and have some food or coffee at Fossil Shell Beach (not worth the entrance fee, but there are some nice views and some seating areas).

Stayed for 5 nights. The lady at reception is very nice & helpful. The double room with aircon on the top floor is very nice. Large room with table & chairs, very nice size bathroom with soap/shampoo dispenser. Decent balcony (chairs & table were very dirty though). My only issue was that my phone was getting no wifi signal in the room & my laptop a very poor one. After the 1st night, I asked if there was a room available on a lower floor, as I figured that was the issue. We were kindly offered an available twin bed room on the 1st floor. I tested the internet & while slow, I was able to connect to the internet with my phone. But that only lasted that night. The following day, our internet was even worse than before, plus we lost our balcony & nice bathroom (this one smelled of sewage & wasn’t as big). But after asking about the internet again, the lady & another staff went to take a look at the router again & determined that it was no good. They bought a new router & the wifi was good. The location is a 3 minute walk to the pier to catch the boat to Railay, which was nice. There are not many restaurants, outside of local thai food & at most of them, they don’t speak English. But both 7-11 & FamilyMart are within 5 minute walk. All the action is in Ao Nang. To get to Ao Nang, a songtaew minibus will take you for 20 bath during the day & 60 baht at night. Overall, solid value & would recommend. We appreciate the noon checkout, as well.

We booked for 1 night through Agoda where it is listed as Krisada Hotel. Because it was nice clean accommodation and suited our budget we stayed on for several more nights at 500 baht per night. We had a room on the ground floor, no balcony and twin beds. The Family mart and 7 eleven are close but the 'restaurants' are just the usual Thai open air, wok on the pavement type food stalls with seating. We paid 20 baht to get to Ao Nang and 50 Baht to get to Krabi on the local songtaew (fares are one way per person.). The Villa is close to the pier and that is a bonus if you want to catch a boat to the islands. The are boats easier to board there than in Ao nang as you don't have to wade out into the sea. The beach is not a swimming beach, muddy type flats at low tide but it is a OK beach to walk. Even though we liked the accommodation I probably would not stay there again because of the location. Ao Nang or Krabi would have been a better choice.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms lack privacy

This is a nice hotel located next to the port where you can take the boat to Really Bay. There are also supermarkets and restaurantes next to it. Unfortunately, there are not places to visit around, no beaches or any other interesting place.

The rooms are comfortable and the Internet works really good, good speed and stable.

Anyway, for the services they offer, I think it could be a little bit cheaper.

Checked into this hotel and found it very roomy and clean. Comfortable bed, large balcony, large bathroom.

There is a kettle in the room and a fridge. The door to the fridge came off the hinges once though but it was easily put back on, just caught us by surprise.

They came and cleaned the room everyday which we weren't expecting. I had left cash and important stuff out and it was all there when we returned.

The owner of the place is so nice and we really enjoyed any encounter with her. They close the office at night. We arrived at night and I'm not sure but she may have waited for us to check in since we had booked online.

We rented a motorbike from her for 15 ringitt. Really refreshing to get a fair price right from the get go. No hassle, just handed you the keys and helmets and we were on our way.

A pier where you can catch a long tail boat to Rai Leh is down the street. Really convenient. If you want to go to Ao Nang it's easiest to get a motorbike but there are buses driving by all day long. The owner even helped us catch the bus since she thought we weren't too sure of where we were going which was the long distance bus terminal (you can catch it right outside the hotel). If you are wanting to be in a hotel close to the action this isn't the right one for you. If you want a more quiet place this will work.

The place has a small book exchange and a cute, "moody" cat.

Do Not Book Rooms Through Phantip Travel!!! We were making our way via bus from Surat Thani to Krabi when we had to change buses at a local coffee shop/ bus stop. While waiting to board we were approached by a very nice lady asking if we needed help arranging accommodation when we got to Ao Nang. We knew we were arriving later so were wiling to listen when she told us that she could get us reasonable rate at a new Eco boutique hotel just minutes away from the beach. She made some calls right in front of us to get us the 'best price' as everything was more expensive in Krabi. She said we could get a room with Air con, hot shower, breakfast and the use of a scooter for $1500 baht/night. We didn't have any other immediate options so thought we'd take it for a couple nights and see what else we could find once we got there. We had to give the Phantip Travel lady $500 deposit to secure the room and transfer from the Krabj bus station. Upon arrival we found the staff to be very nice and accommodating. The rooms are newer and very clean. The breakfast is not worth including in the price of your stay - which we have found everywhere we have been. We also found out that here is only one scooter for the entire hotel which has 16 rooms. We met a girl staying around the same area with the same room amenities plus a pool for only $400 baht/night and a good restaurant, something this hotel doesn't have. The location is too far from anything, you need to drive 5-10 mins to get to the beach at Ao Nang. Our experience might have been better had we not felt totally ripped off by the travel agent that supposedly had our best interests in mind. Take our advice and find the area you want to be in and walk to a couple hotels, ask to see a room and get the best price. We are moving today to an equally nice hotel, steps to Ao Nang beach for half the cost.
