Charming place, if you can walk to the blue pool-just lovely, wear comfy shoes the road in some place is slippery, the 1400 m` route is paved, the 800 m`s is on a wide dirt path (in rain can get a bit muddy), there are toilets not far from the pool 100m`, the pool itself is very slippery and not recommended to put the head inside the water (I think even dangerous), the walk to the blue pool is partly wood road and part ground (slippery) but the view at the end of the road worth it.

Very hot so prepare your sun blocks, hats, umbrellas etc.
Pool water is cool and about 1.4m to 1.6m deep.
A lot of algae at the side which causes the ground to be extremely slippery. Have to be careful there.

The emerald pool colour was so vividly green it was like we had entered a fantasy planet. The swim was lovely and not too many people as we were there during the low season.
The hike to the blue pool was not too far and it was through wonderful nature with the sounds of cicadas and birds accompanying you throughout the hike.
The blue pool was absolutely stunning... even more magical than the emerald one. But swimming is not allowed though.

It is a must go to see nature's beauty - the colour of the water, beautiful shades of blue and green.
Be careful as it is very slippery. If you can make it, take a 20min walk to see the blue pool. It is breathtaking!

Starting with the relatively high parking fee, one immediately discovers this is a tourist trap with much of its natural beauty ruined by the atmosphere of exploitation. The worst part is the blatant racist policy that charges foreigners 20 times more for entrance (10 versus 200 baht). I recommend to avoid this trap and enjoy the hot springs waterfall nearby, where foreigners are treated equally, and one can soak in a natural, charming setting.
