“Stay there, then you won't regret at all!!”
Reviewed 2 July 2009

I stayed the Tique last June 2009 before I moved my accomodation to the Twinpalm during my summer holiday. There are too many things to say here:

1. Location: the edge of Patong center and it is a perfect place to walk around and enjoy what Pathong provides and, at same time, great place to rest the nights without too much noisy.

2. Price: Most are intersted; for me it was raining season and it didn't hurt me at all. AT the end, I felt lucky to find this small beautique hotel, I might say.

3. Staffs and management: They recognized everytime I entered and left the hotel and they were always smile and kind. Don't forget the breakfast. It wasn't fancy though, it feed you in the morning with a great coffee machine. One example; the last day of my stay, I checked out at early morning because I had to go Phi-Phi tour. I left my luggage at hotel lobby. When I came back, I was very tired with high tide and all day-snorkeling and walking. And I had to go to other part of Phuket, Surin beach for just getting relaxed for several days instead of touring Phuket. They kindly allowed me to use a room at the first floor for taking shower and some rest before I leave to the Twinpalm. I was touched very much. Maybe it is nothing but a service. Think about that they have to claean the room again and all towels I used considering the size of small cozy hotel.

4. Others: Color and texture of the hotel is unique, which I like that very much. It is not a costly beautique hotel in the NYC or any other fancy places in the world. But, I definitely say it is its own 'cozy' and 'beautique' hotel!!! And don't forget the loop top pool. It is small but it is enough to cool you down and makes romantic moody night in or around the pool.

Thanks for your service and I hope to see you again, The Tique!!

We were surprised to find this gem of a hotel in the midst of the maelstrom that is Patong. The Tique is a wonderfully stylish boutique hotel with the most comfortable beds in Thailand. The Tique is located conveniently for both the beach and the late-night markets. The markets are a great place to eat out in the evening. We loved the playful and stylish decoration throughout, from the unique stylings of the rooms to the intimate breakfast bar. The best thing about The Tique is definitely the friendly, attentive and welcoming staff who were always on hand to make sure that we felt looked after. We look forward to returning there soon.

The Tique is a lovely little boutique hotel. the staff are warm, friendly and very accomodating. The place itself is really cute and they have everything you need - free WIFI (and a computer at the reception if you need it), simple breakfast with great coffee most important!), free flow of juices and water in the fridge - you just help yourself, and best of all - the rooms are CLEAN and spotless. It really is a gem in the heart of crowded, noisy, bustling patong.

the owner is really nice too. and if i ever go back to patong, i'll definitely be staying at the tique.

After several days in Bangkok, The Tique was an oasis from the madness.

It is evident that every aspect of the business has been carefully considered and executed. The room was lovely, clean and functional. The bathroom was a bit compact but the shower was powerful and actually hot.

The wifi was sufficient to support streaming from the BBC and totally reliable, There is a terminal in reception for people without laptops - or ones that work.

Comp. breakfast and afternoon tea were a nice touch and a gracious addition. As was the unlimited bottles of water and beach towels

The plunge pool and loungers on the roof are a bit of an extra and a great way to cool down from the equatorial sun.

The terrace rooms have accessible balconies but the windows of the standard rooms are a bit small. The only negative is the noise due to single glazing and a busy road junction. Take earplugs.

The hotel is well located for the beach, restaurants and nightlife.

Patong was all a bit sleezy for me, but the Tique was my refuge and is totally recommended.

We stayed here for two nights en route to an island near phuket. I have to say that patong is SO grotty and we wouldn't have stayed there if we didnt have to but the tique made it bearable. It is not somewhere you would want to stay for more than a couple of days tho, as the hotel is quite small and the pool is more like a rooftop spa but for a couple of days, its a really cute, clean place in a good central location. Out of all the hotels we stayed in (including luxury ones) the tique had the best little extras which made the experience really nice. There was always free juice, yoghurt and fruit in the fridge for us to have. Internet was free, as was a van which could take you to the other side of the town. We got it for a really good deal last minute but i think the full price is a little expensive, but then again so is everything else in patong.

We were just walking past this hotel and went in to ask the price. Spotlessly clean. Every room individually designed. Help yourself breakfast - including just going into the fridge in the lobbyand getting the juice. "Real" coffee. Loads of mineral water - 4 in the room each day, but more available from the fridge in the lobby. We have been visiting Patong for years, but this will be our base on future visits. Staff extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgable. 100m to the beach. 20m to Soi Paradise. Not the sort of place that you would rent by the hour and it was refreshing to find that none of the other guests were appearing to bring back visitors at night.

Stumbled across the hotel by accident on the internet, and was impressed with the fact it was a new hotel, and had some good rates.
Really impressed with the hotel, originally booked in for 2 days, but ended up staying for 5. In the centre of Patong, close to the bars and shopping, but you wouldn't really know it.

Stayed in a Terrace room on the 5th floor, and it was great with a small balcony to sit on to look at the world going by. Some peopl may find the fact the hotel has just concrete floors bad, but it has been done in a tasteful way, and they have focused on other comforts that are needed in the rooms.

Free Wifi as well and an excellent shower. They have a great VW camper van service to the beach as well. Happy hour on weekends to enjoy a nice glass of wine in the lobby for free.

  • Liked — Excellent rooms, and good location
  • Disliked — Sometimes Room Cleaning was very late in the day
