I stayed here 5 nights. The location of the hotel is great, in a more quiet area but still close to the the more lively areas of Patong Beach. The hotel is modern and clean.
The rooms are very clean and spacious. There is a flat screen TV and a DVD player in the room, and great satellite TV service. There is a safe in the hotel room to keep all your valuables in. There is a mini bar which also doubles as a fridge. The bathroom is quite large and clean. My only complaint is I had lukewarm shower water during my stay, though since the weather is quite hot it didn't matter too much.
There is a nice roof top pool and patio area. However, there is construction going on next door and the workers can see you in your bathing suit. If you're a woman this can be a bit awkward. The pool is small but it's great for a quick dip in the pool after the beach. You have to sign out a towel from the front desk for the pool.
The staff were welcoming and nice. They have a guide in the front lobby to help you get to know the area a bit better. The food at the hotel restaurant is quite affordable and delicious; you can have a great meal, including an appetizer and drink, for just under $10 CAD. Their fresh smoothies are great, as well as the spring rolls, stirfries, curries and soups. A breakfast buffet is included. Breakfast was okay, they had something new everyday and they had enough options (eggs, croissants, pastry, salad, fresh fruit, pancakes, french toast, potatoes, toast, cereal, stirfry, juices, coffee, tea, milk). It wasn't gourmet but still good. The hotel has free WiFi and an excellent (free) Internet cafe.
The hotel is about a 2 minute walk to the beach. It's on the more quiet side of the beach which is great, not too crowded. You can rent a beach chair all day for 80 baht, and there is a snack bar at the beach where you can purchase food and drink. The hotel and the beach are also close to a Family Mart convenience store and some other good restaurants. Buy water, drinks, snacks and other essentials at the convenience store to save yourself a bit of money.
There is a food market about a 3 min walk away from the hotel where you can have a delicious and cheap seafood meal. The hotel is also within walking distance of Bangla Rd. where all the nightlife is, ladies can take advantage of the nightclubs where they can get in free and get a free drink. There is also shopping and markets in the area.
I would recommend checking out the Thai massage places in the area, you can get an amazing one hour massage and other therapeutic and aesthetic services, very cheaply). The spa at the hotel is too expensive and there are a few in the area where you can bargain as well.
I only paid $35 CAD a night for the hotel room and it was well worth it, excellent value.
