- Very friendly staff in general, they also helped us get a good deal on a (last-minute) island trip (better than any of the travel agencies offered) and made the arrangements. (It's nice if they pick you up at the hotel in the morning, and can call if they can't find it or are delayed).
- Clean rooms, nicely equipped. Air-conditioner worked well. fridge drinks not expensive.
Room could do with some minor fixes, as in the ventilator/light switch in the bathroom also controlled the nightlights/sockets next to the bed, and a wobbly bathroom sink. (only minor inconveniences.)
- Location: Excellent, short walk to the center (and during the day you can walk through the shoppingcenter airco!).

Room Tip: 3rd floor was fine :)

Amici Miei was situated really close to Jungceylon mall (it was just straight up the street). Super convenient, fresh food market that has a small night food market every night, about 10 minutes walk from Patong beach if you take it through Junceylong mall. Along the way, you'll find many street stalls and restaurants. Loved the location and the neighbourhood. I was travelling solo and felt safe coming back to the hotel at 12 plus in the morning.

Staff were friendly and you'll always be greeted with a smile. There were two of Italian (?) men who always seemed to be there at all hours and I'm guessing they might be the owners. Similarly, they were really nice and would greet you as and when.

There was a small cafe in the hotel which had really affordable prices, as well as good WIFI. There was a slightly stale smell which comes from the toilet, but it goes away once you get the air-con started.

Very well worth the value!

Thumbs Up for people at Amici Miei Hotel! You guys were awesome. Its that smile and approachable personality that gave Amici Miei a good reputation. Keep it up !

Rooms were cleaned everday without hassle. Need minor repairs here and there though.

Finally....Location, location, location!! great location. Mum was particular about getting halal food -wish granted! Jungceylon & Banzaan Fresh Market are only 5 mins away from hotel. Plus, the night market - convenient.

Getting to the beach was a bit far but we love the Tuk Tuks!!

You can't choose a better location that Amici. Located in the heart of everything that's going on at Patong -- Bangla Road is barely 5-10 minutes of walk, the awesome Banzaan bazaar is just a 2 minute walk and there are tons of good restaurants and places to hang out in the area.

I would venture to say that it's one of the best locations if you were to stay in Phuket.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a quieter room that doesn't face the streets. It'll be heard to sleep...

I started off this place at a poor start as I was informed that my booked room had an issue with the AC and that I had to move to Aryaboutique hotel next door. Been there done that when rooms may have been overbooked, nevertheless I forgave the front desk agent cause she seemed apologetic and assured the replacement hotel was good or i could come back to them. My room on the 2nd and 3rd night was confirmed but this time with an upgrade to deluxe room on level 4. Couldn't be happier as my partner was to join me the 2nd day. I booked an airport limo from the desk at the price of $800 for one way. Couldn't join the driver up to the airport cause then it would have been double charge. I trusted that all would go well. Arya boutique hotel was clean but I longed to go back the next night cause Amici seemed more chique and trendy. The following day, all was well, our bags were placed into the deluxe room. I would say the rooms seemed value for money. They also have a 4-6 way universal adaptor right by the TV. The aircon would get very cold at night, which we loved. Not sure why bed comforter was not added to the bed and left in the cabinet instead. Did not feel comfortable using a comforter without it being tucked into fresh linen. Also, the shower pressure system in the hotel needs some upgrading as you might be scalded if the toilet was flushed or hand basin was used by the 2nd person. So best to use the toilet alone or someone might get hurt. Best to take turns using the facilities. Less romantic!

Service by the Myanmar lady at the desk was amazing together with her boss, Marco who was equally friendly. The night guard was also full of smiles and reminded us of our pickup in the morning.

One minor setback was the airport limo taxi. I confirmed with the front desk staff it would be $800. The security today morning said to pay $700 to the driver. Driver was grumbling when we came out 15 minutes after the scheduled, 7am pickup time. As we arrive at the airport he got a bit more 'friendly' only to realized at the airport, we didn't have change for $1000, so we ended leaving him a tip although i didn't quite think he deserve it overall. I would suggest calling another driver i used previously called Mr To - 082 220 2945 or +66822202945 to arrange a pickup, departure or sight seing in phuket.

Overall, I may be back to Amici but it all depends if some improvements were made to the facilities as there are many new places opening up beside and behind Jungleceylon mall.

Thank you Marco and team! May you continue to delight guests...

Location was excellent - it's only 5 minutes from Jungceylon Mall, 10-15 min from Patong Beach, away from the terrible hustle and bustle of Bangla Rd. The street itself is convenient and safe, with a 7-11 nearby.

The standard of housekeeping was excellent. The room and bathroom were squeaky clean, hot water from the shower was reliable.

The staff were also first-class. I arrived before check-in and left my luggage with the counter staff. When I returned post check-in, my bags were already waiting for me in my room. The staff greet you upon your return with a ready and warm smile.

The only gripe I have and made me rate this overall as a 'good' rather than 'very good' was a strange pervasive sewerage-y smell in the building. It's pretty strong in the bathroom and you can smell it when you first step into the hotel room. But it disappears once you switch on the aircon, or perhaps you acclimatize to the smell and it's pretty much gone after.

Wouldn't mind coming back to stay because it is good value otherwise.
