Pleasant Hotel , not so good location as walk into main shopping areas roads are under construction . As well as next door is a construction site so is noisy and messy . But if you book a pool access room , it's great walking straight out to your own infinity pool. Staff friendly and helpful .

Friendly and helpful staff and the central location of the hotel made our stay a pleasant one.
We had read some poor reviews prior to our stay there, but we had no problems with theft and the hotel staff. Staff had a basic understanding of English and were able to assist us throughout our stay. Buffet breakfast had mainly Thai dishes and were fresh and delicious. Free shuttle to beach and mall not always dependable. Free wifi was welcomed...All in all a good stay.

Great place to stay, would recommend the swim up room, worth the extra few dollars. Pool right at your balcony with jacuzzi. Cig smoke in the foyer is a bit average but the only negative I can say about the hotel. Nice staff, nice restaurant, lovely little bar just across the road and heaps of restaurants in the area

Room Tip: Swim up room

Went with my cousin for her birthday and stayed in the superior room for 8 nights (nothing superior about it)
Before going I was reading a lot of bad Trip Advisor reviews for this place and freaking myself out (but I had booked it as part of a package and my travel agent could not change it). Some reviews make it out to be a total squalor, I dont think it's that bad really, but its definitely not great and I will NOT go be going back there.
For a start it is WAY too over priced for what you get (I paid $120/night AUD). Do you're research and shop around, you are hardly in the hotel room for your holiday anyway, so just find a cheap place ($10/night) with hot water and an air-conditioner and you'll be set. I know I will definitely be hitting up the back backer joints next year.
The pool is tiny, and the majority of it is backing onto the deluxe suits, so you can't really swim in that area anyway, without being in someone's personal space.
The breakfast is average, often cold. But I did like that it stayed open till late (11am) so good for the hangover days.
The shower and surrounding walls had mould and water damage, not a huge amount, but enough to make you feel uncomfortable and dirty afterwards. There was an exposed man hole in our bathroom the entire time(see picture). They never provided enough toilet paper, would just re stock it with half used rolls from other rooms, so we were always calling the front desk for extra.
Hardly any of the staff could speak English when I was there, so if you have a question or want to speak to someone you're left waiting at the desk till they find the one person to help. They even had European girls working there that couldn't speak English.
The elevators are tiny, just enough room to fit 4 people comfortably so not great if you are claustrophobic.
I did like the location tho, really close to Jungcelon shopping centre and the boxing stadium. And if you're too lazy to walk the 10 min to the beach they have a complimentary bus till 5pm everyday. But with the traffic its quicker just to walk. (but do yourself a favour and spend the coin on a tuc tuc to go to one of the nicer beaches like Kata Noi or Karon, less crowded and clearer water. You can get the blue bus there for $1, but it will NOT take you back to patong, it will drive straight past even if you try to flag it down. They have a deal with the tuc tuc drivers, so that's your only way home, and don't bother haggling, we wasted an hour walking to all the different taxi stations and none of them will budge from 400 baht.
The hotel is a 5min walk from bangla rd, so close enough to stumble home drunk safely, but far enough away from the noise to sleep.
And DO NOT book any tours before you go. There are plenty of tour booths all around with ladies that organise everything for you (with perfect english) at a fraction of what you would pay online, and you can haggle ("the one down the street said such and such a price, can you beat that?") I used the tour booth right out the front of the hotel, she always had the best prices. I made the mistake of booking a island tour online, costing $120/pp for a full day on the ocean, lunch, speed boat and snorkelling included, which I thought was really good. Then talking to guests in the hotel that went on the exact same tour for just $38/pp.
Back to the hotel though. The beds are hard, the sheets are stiff and starchy. The air conditioning made me sick. they don't sweep properly, always sand left behind. And the shelves were thick with dust when we arrived, and not once cleaned while we were there.
The room itself seems to be poorly built, crooked angles, ill fitting hinges, reeeally bad paint jobs.
It was like going over to shazza and dazza's place to see their new renovations and they say "we didn't hire none of them fancy pants professionals, we just dones it our selves and it turned out beaut". That's what the room feels like.

Room Tip: Higher floors let you have a view. Instead of staring at the boxed in surrounding buildings.

Big Mistake that we stayed here Avoid staying here. We had done our bookings based on recommendations of a travel agent called FlightShop in Mumbai India which we realized is not too good (very unprofessional).

The staff at the hotel was outright rude and unhelpful. They had a major problem understanding English.

We had 2 rooms booked and they gave no wake up call / gave a wake up call (automated) in the children's room (that's what they claimed). Breakfast was very poor and since we had an early morning tour inquired if we could get it packed and they initially refused, and then asked us to shell out a bomb for the same. Left without having any breakfast.

The day we stayed there, there were heavy rains and the Road leading to the hotel was like a big flowing river and we had to wade through knee deep water to reach the hotel. Only saving grace was an Indian restaurant next door.

Outstanding location and a really lovely room. Only spent a couple of nights there but would appily haver stayed there for the whole holiday. I would definately return to this hotel but probably won't because the influence of tourism from a certain Eastern European country has adversly affected the resort of Patong.

We had read many reviews, & still decided to stay here. Big mistake. What's wrong with the staff at this place? We tipped all staff & cleaners, at this hotel. And still they chose to steel from us. These people are untrustworthy. They will go through bags, and belongings when you are not in your room. Helping themselves to anything they want. Don't stay here.
