This was our second time we have stayed at the NAP and had a great holiday. From the moment we arrived on the 10th August till we left on the 18th we enjoyed the hotel. Rooms are a good size, and the happy hour in the cocktail bar are excellent, Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices. Our room over looked the pool and the beach. Would I stay there again the answer is YES

We stayed here 5 nights in a king room (room 403) and were very happy to have chosen this hotel while in Phuket. This hotel made up for all the ugliness out in the streets of Patong Beach.
The room was a fair size, nicely appointed, everything white with some blue; large windows facing the pool, nice terrace with low table and large couch + fan. Good lighting in the room. Minibar with drinks (Coca Cola, soda water, pineapple juice, mineral water & Sprite) is free and replenished every day. Lots of space for luggage, clothes and stuff. Nice bathroom with walk in shower, plenty of amenities. All very clean and well maintained. Still feels very new.
Breakfast is buffet style and there's plenty of options. Fresh fruit juice if one wishes, an egg station (chef is not very skilled), different kinds of bread and danish, pancakes, 4 kinds of cheese and 4 kinds of cold cuts, salad, plenty of fresh fruit a.o.
The pool was OK with plenty of lounge chairs. Blue towels for the pool were to be found in the room.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
And yes, there is some construction going on in the neighbourhoood, but that didn't really bother us.
To us this hotel was everything we wanted for a short holiday at a very reasonable price.

Stayed in a twin room for 4 nights in the Nap.

We picked the Nap based on the good reviews and TripAdvisor reviews. The entrance to the hotel, the building architecture and pool instantly led use to believe this was a good hotel worthy of the reviews.

However once we entered the room it was a different story. The room was damp! The mould was evident on the walls, ceiling and head board. The bell boy reassured us it would be fine once the A/C kicked in so we tought we'd give it a chance. Upon returning to the room later that night the room still felt damp and even the bed sheets felt wet. After raising it with reception to be fair they were helpful and following inspection of another two rooms we found one a little better. Still is was very disappointing that a room in a 4 star was damp! This would never happen in a proper chain of hotels. I think it may be a cause of having the bathroom connected to the room by a wooden grill that lets the moisture escape into the room. What is the point of that grill anyway? I don't want to see my mate on the toilet!!!

The bathroom itself was fairly decent it was just the room that was the let down. The furniture resembled a low budget travel inn in the UK. If you look through the user pictures you'll see what I mean.

Anyway trying to look for some positives the location is decent enough. In a slightly quieter end of town you can get a decent night sleep. The construction across the road cannot be heard from the room. The restaurant looked fairly decent and a good hapy hour. We did try a restaurant around the corner in the BYDlofts which was really good. If you want to stay in this area of town I'd reccommend staying at that hotel as it looked much nicer for the same rates.

Patong itself is good for laugh and the nightlife. The beach whilst long and good views was full of litter. If you are a couple or family it would be better to stay somewhere further down south like Kata or Rawai where it's less seedy and better beaches. In Patong we found a nice spot up on the hills - the hilltop bar - well worth a 5min trip by TukTuk. They also give you a free lift back into town.

So an okish stay due to the good deal we got (although still pricey for Thailand). This hotel has potential they just need to work on the maintenance and sorting the damp out. I wouldnt be back unless there was evidence they had sorted the issue. The awards in reception from Agoda and TripAdvisor should not be there in my opinion.

Picked The Nap Patong after a long search. It's a nice hotel with friendly staffs and with good command of English. Breakfasts are decent, rooms are clean and come with a contemporary design. Everything looks good and new. Most importantly, it is clean!

Very near to the Patong beach, just 5min walk. We enjoyed its good location to the beach and town center very much. Easily flagging a tut-tut in front of the hotel.

Have no reservation to recommend this hotel! But, the only shortfall is that the hotel is rather not so baby-friendly. They do have high-chair but without security strap/belt. What is the point to put a toddler up there where he/she would have slipped in the middle of the meals?! And, the hotel is good to provide FOC baby cot but the mattress is way too hard, we'd have to request an additional blanket and put on top for our 18-mo girl to sleep better on the second night. She didn't sleep well the 1st night at all.

Room Tip: rooms facing the pool and the Patong beach are having sunset shines.

We stayed at the Nap for 2 nights this summer at Patong. Overall, I think it was a good for value place to stay for such a new and trendy place in Phuket where all the hotels are pretty old and worn. But still there are both positives and negatives about the hotel that gave it only 3 stars.

Positives;

1. Good Location - Although it is not attached to the Patong Beach, it is only around 3 minutes walk from the beach. The Nap is located around the end of Beach Road which made it convenient but it wasn't where the most developed area was (around Bangla Road - more further down Beach Road)
2. Clean and New - For a hotel in Phuket, the Nap, which is only 2 years old, was very clean and new. Phuket has been developed as a tourism island for such a long time that most of the hotels are pretty old and worn.
3. **Breakfast - I personally thought the breakfast was very satisfying but my child - teenager - saw it pretty disappointing. Because the size of the hotel is small, the breakfast buffet cannot be too big. There was a big amount of salad and veggies but not too much for the younger ones.

Negatives;

1. Pool - The size of the pool was tiny while the sunlight was piercingly hot. As an effect, the water was way too warm for my family's liking and we ended up only visiting the pool once. I advise you to go out to Patong Beach in the morning before breakfast - there are almost no people unlike the busy afternoons of Patong Beach and the peace is much better than the pool.
2. Construction Noise - There is a big construction going on right across the road, which gives out lots of construction noises. Although it doesn't go on at night and our family was out most of the time in Patong, for couples that will stay a lot in the rooms, I would not recommend you this hotel.
3. ***Location - It is not too center in the hustle bustle of Patong.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to people who want a bit of distance from all the noise of Patong. But also those who will be out pretty often since the hotel itself doesn't have much entertainment. :)

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the East Side since there is construction going on around the west.

My first trip to Phuket with my bf. Stayed at the nap for 2 nights. friendly and helpful staff. Great location - 3 mins to the beach and 15 mins to Bangla Road and other major attraction. The hotel even have shuttle bus service to shopping mall if you are lazy to walk. Check out the timing with the friendly staff. Very nice room with free wifi and free mini bar + lovely balcony. I stayed at level 4 with swimming pool view. The best time that I had was to wake up in the morning and enjoy my morning coffee at the balcony with the sound of seashore (even though I cannot see the beach from my hotel room). The Nap is nothing but the first choice - our only problem is mosquitoes, which I guess it will have in any other hotels too.

Room Tip: They have private pool for their villa room :)

Great place to stay.
Very Helpful staff(helped organize transfers in koh Samui), good location, next door bar/restaurant (nap patong) really good.
Nice rooms. Great air con. Nice small rooftop pool. Good shower.
Only downside is no bar/food service at rooftop bar, but apart from that. Great place to stay, staff very nice and helpful, especially oak at the front counter.
will recommend to all and would stay here again.
