Horrible Hotel...after paying premium price for this hotel through a Tour agent in Bangkok ( bad choice) local person suggested this way must get kickback from agent .He ripped me off , arrived with a rude welcome from staff not only is this hotel very far from Bangla St it gives you the impression on the brochure its close by.The room needed painting /no shower screen water goes all over bathroom internet rarely worked, small box TV. No English speaking staff at deck most of the time. I needed a receipt for my stay cause someone stole my wallet with credit cards to show my bank, they made a big deal about the receipt, the absolute rudeness and cold personalities that come my way was unbelievable will not give this hotel no stars. stay away

Not to confused with the Arita House, which has the same owner, but 25 minute walk away. Sadly, our transfer driver did this and dropped us off at Arita House. Credit to the staff, they arranged for someone from Arita Hotel to come and pick us up and take us to the correct hotel. HAd to wait about 40 minutes, which after 12 hours of traveling, felt like a life time, but saved a long walk with cases along busy streets. Staff also provided refreshments for us while we waited.

Check-in was quick, found the staff to be quite friendly. The rooms were great, and felt secure and safe. Surprised to find there was a pool too, which for the price we paid felt a bonus. Bathroom was clean, shower was powerful, though by late evenings water temperature was at best luke warm. Fine in mornings though.

Only a short 5-10 minute walk to the beach, and a short walk to near by shops and markets. Main nightlife is a bit of a trek, but still plenty of bars near by.

Would have no issues with stopping here again if I was passing through the area.

Room Tip: Showers are warmer in morning, ask if possible for a room with a view over the town, or you may be s...

someone stole my wife's watch and my alcohol :(. Please be careful there. the place was good and very near to the beach. The room size was good and it was very economical to stay, they charged 1300 baht for one day.

We initially booked our rooms for 4 nights through a tourist office in bangkok ( DONT EVER BOOK A HOTEL FROM A TOURIST OFFICE !) and paid 1200 Baht per room (original price of a room for two is 900 Baht) and ended up staying for 8 nights. We were told it was a 5mins walk to the beach when originally its 15 to 20mins to walk. Easier by scooter which you can rent at the same hotel for 150 Baht.

The rooms were very clean. Lovely balcony to hang wet swim suits and a lovely big pool upstairs to enjoy a mid afternoon or midnight swim. Away from all the hustle and bustle of busy Patong Beach and no loud music in the middle of the night.

Only downfall is that our bathroom had the smell of sewage every now and then. Quite gross. but because it was towards the end of our stay we did not bother asking for a change in room.

The receptionists were lovely girls are were very considerate and helpful ! even the man who runs the night shift was nice. We booked a few tours through the arita tour office in the lobby and the man Wattana was very helpful too !

Thank God we managed to move our booking from the Arita hotel to the Blue Ocean Resort, across the road from them. This is not a nice hotel and the staff are crazy as well. All over Thailand we have met so many nice people, but only in Arita Hotel do you meet staff that are rude and call you names if you ask them any questions.
I went to the Arita hotel to book our flights to Bangkok but the owner there was very rude and was trying to cheat me by making me book flights at times I did not want. When I asked for other options he became very rude and started name calling. I left and on my way one of the waiters told me that the owner had Constipation and was not in a good mood. But that does not give him any right to call names to anyone. Stay away if you want to enjoy your trip to Thailand

Room Tip: Avoid all rooms

We stayed at Arita hotel it was dirty, dark, unfriendly. The front dest girls were some of the worst I have met. It seemed we were a big trouble to them, no help, no smiles, no thank you, rude. The breakfast isnt worth the money, dry toast, eggs and little hot dogs. If you are on a budget stay at At Home, or Happy Home both very nice, clean, newer hotels..

Room Tip: Don't stay there...not a good location

Location wise, is not great if you want something close to the beach. Value for money wise is not great for what you get. Booked a room with a king size bed, however was provided a twin room. Was given the option of a room with a king size bed, however the room had a very bad smell emanating from the drain in the bathroom. The hotel is very close to other hotels and thus you cannot leave the curtains open. Limited parking is available. Good selection of television channels though. Bed is hard and uncomfortable.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the main street would provide more privacy.
