U Sabai is located in one of the noisy street of Patong. This hotel does not accept credit/debit cards. This is a very important point as it might disturb your budget. When we were checking out of the hotel, they found a tiny pink spot on two towels and charged us 1000 Baht. However, we only paid for 1 (i.e. 500 Baht) after lengthy negotiation. Moreover, the hotel does not have back up power, Hence when we checked in, we had to spend time withour electricity. The A/C was not functioning properly and the cooling was negligible. The only good point about the hotel was that Jung ceylon Mall and Bangla Road are located at a walking distance.

Room Tip: Located on a noisy stree and very poor air conditioning in rooms. This hotel only accepts cash. Henc...

I booked Amici Miei Hotel but upon arrival at midnight 1am, I was told that my room had some problem. So I was brought to this U Sabai Living Hotel which is just on the opposite side of the same street.

Room: mine is a superior room on the highest 5/F, super clean, comfy king size bed, balcony, flat TV with many channels, safe, 2 mineral waters, not cramped, nicely decorated, toiletries except tooth brush and paste. Toilet seat and shower is separated by a curtain only. Shower hot consistent and strong. Air con functions well and you can adjust the strength. At low key, it's silent yet cool enough.

Location: Very strategic. On foot, 3 mins to the Banzaan fresh market where you can buy seafood on G/F and bring to 1/F for cooking, 4 mins to the famous big shopping mall Jungceylon where the supermarket Big C is (inside Robinson block), 15 mins to Bangla Road and Patong Beach. At night, there are many food stalls outside Banzaan market. From the airport, the fixed taxi fare is B800. I shared a minivan with 10 other tourists at B180@. But next time, I'd better take a taxi on my own as that can bring me to my hotel ~1 hr earlier as there was much waiting time and people dropped at different hotels. On returning to the airport, there is taxi service at Jungceylon mall, fixed fare B800 ~50 mins if no traffic jam. You can book a taxi (better at least a day before) at the hotel at only B700. You should better arrive at the airport for international flights at least 2 hrs in advance as there are long (and often quite slow) queues.

Noise issue: Patong is a crazy fun area. My stay was for a weekend only. On Fri and Sat night (especially Fri), there are from time to time excited people yelling at the street. Although I stayed on the highest floor (5/F) and there is a sliding door at the balcony which could cut much noise and the hotel is on a side street already, I could still hear the noise clearly at midnight. Luckily that didn't annoy me too much.

Staff: helpful and friendly.

Overall, it's a good choice but perhaps you may ask for a room facing a better side (if any) with less noise. I know the room price is very good too.

Room Tip: ask for a room facing a better side (if any) with less noise

This was our third hotel of the trip, and was easily the best. Stayed here for a couple of days (3 pax) and were totally satisfied with the experience. It is very conveniently located at a walking distance to Bangla Road and patong beach, and has all amenities like convenience stores, pharmacy stores nearby. The staff was very friendly, and looked after our extra needs like additional bed, taxi booking etc with no tantrums. The room had amenities like home theatre with bluray, microwave, utensils etc which were not provided by any other hotel. Minibar prices were also reasonable. The beds were comfy with a nice balcony and sitting area to add on to the experience. Guests can use the laptops kept at reception to browse the net. Totally recommend this.

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Forgot to take my beach towel along & one of them came chasing after me with it.

Rooms were clean, nice beds.

Tried their English breakfast. Tasty, big portion & decently priced.

The location is strategic as it is nearby all the Patong hot spots (wet market, night market with loads of bbq food stalls!! , shopping malls, Bangla road, boxing stadium & the beach).

Highly recommended to stay here!

The staff here are lovely. I had left a hostel from hell that morning and I asked about a room. The rate was very reasonable and they even arranged for me to check in there and then.
The food here is lovely, you can even get brekkie in your room and for 700 baht , it was heaven.

Room 405 was large with kitchenette, kettle, microwave, sink, cutlery, cups etc. Usual other gear, medium sized fridge, flat screen TV (no dvd player), air con. View to north west hills across backblocks of Patong, quite nice, with balcony for fresh air. Plenty of storage space for a couple, King sized bed. Daily cleaning spot on, breakfast fantastic actually (paid for not with room rate). Note: hotel only accepts cash payments no credit card facility. 2 minute walk to Jungceylon Shopping Centre,10mins to Bangla Road.

Room Tip: I wanted a kitchenette (room 405), so paid a little extra, but nicer view out the back

Beds are SO comfy, didn't want to get out of them. Location is great access for shopping, restaurants and bars, and staff were nice. Wifi was a bit iffy but I think that was because of the heavy rain. Tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, would highly recommend this place
