We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a brilliant time. We spent many afternoons at the pool bar getting served amazing cocktails by the lovely Chinsen; its the most beautiful setting and a great place to relax after a long day of exploring islands and shopping at the markets which are nearby. The breakfast smorgasbord is awesome, a huge selection of international foods including bacon and eggs (cooked to your liking), Chinese food, Indian food, croissants and breads, fruit platters, tea, coffee, miso soup.. the list goes on.
The rooms are lovely with nice views all round we had a combined mountain/seaview which was spectacular. Our only complaints are that you can hear the doors opening and closing from the floor above which woke us a couple of times, and there were a few blackouts that turn the tv on automatically when the power comes back on meaning you have to get up and turn it off.. so I just unplugged it. Overall we had a fabulous time and will definitely return again on our next travel to Phuket.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room, just spectacular.

The hotel's location is excellent very near to restaurants, convient store, fruit stands, nice shopping area nearby. Bangladesh road and jungceylon is only 5 min. Walk from the hotel. The buffet breakfast is excellent. Very nice service. Employees are all helpful and polite. Very memorable stay.

The hotel had major renovation of the lobby. So it's a bit noisy from 8-5.
The rooms are clean but are getting old.
The breakfast buffet could have more halal varieties.
If u are staying on the royal side, try getting the top floor. Gets noisy from the gay bar just opposite the royal wing building.
The staff are helpful and would do anything to gain your satisfaction.

This is the second time I have stayed here, This time we stayed in Royal wing Superior room. The room is quite pretty with treetop views out the window and looking over the balcony a view of one of the pools. pretty much like you see in R.P 's promotional photos very relaxing and pleasant......However when i opened a door , rather than finding a wardrobe I found another door to an adjoining room that was locked. Lucky i brought earplugs , during our eight day stay we must have had three different neighbors, Why people move furniture around in the middle of the night is a riddle I am sure i will never solve? plenty of TV chanels only one was in English which was hellbent on showing every horror movie known to man,
Also no internet was available unless extra was paid
I have to say i travel reasonable regularly to Phuket, say no longer that every two years pass before i visit family there and i guess i stay here because the pool is warm and clean and off season there are plenty of chairs to relax about , things would get ugly in peak season trying to get a chair around the pool I am sure. Also I like the variety at breakfast , well and truly enough to keep me going to dinner really anything you want is there and they cater for all international tastes its like five breakfast bars in one.
I loved ducking into the pool when the sun went down , so warm and quiet very relaxing
Its easy place for local drivers too they all know it.
The location is hard to go past as well in the center of Patong really no more than ten minutes walk to anything you need including the beach and in turn bus to Phuket town,
They are doing a large renovation to the foyer which is currently circa 1990 i am sure it will look lovely
The only two things i was irritated over was the adjoining room door and noisy neighbours which was fixed by earplugs but who wants to sleep with earplugs every night?
Here is the other thing
There is nothing like petty Bll.Sht charges to really get up my nose but this is what happened. In the room there were two free bottles of "complimentary" water which we drank I had one open for a couple of days and it was sitting on a coffee table , however I accidentally knocked it off and had to call housekeeping because i could not get all the little bits of glass picked up .
Upon checkout I was charged au $ 2.50 for the "complimentary" bottle i had a conversation for half and hour with concierge stating if the water was free why was I being charged? this conversation went backwards and forwards going nowhere finally the concierge put her own money in to pay I said that's not a resolution and gave her the money so we were fine
. I asked over and over to speak to manager after all the room was well over aud 500 for eight days surely that is enough to cover a complimentary bottle of water however management did not and would not show there face.
This review would be very different if it wasnt for this unpleasant petty pathetic attempt to grab a crappy couple of bucks and i expect more from a hotel of this standard
Would i pay full price in peak ...now way!
I forgot to mention the bathroom had been renovated and was lovely with a lovely bathtub
Outside the hotel are a number of places to wash your clothes 1kg 20 baht
Heaps of lovely restaurants nearby and if you lose your bearings just look for the tallest building and walk home.
All in all i nice stay for the money , not worth peak rates and the " free bottle of water" was just one of those pathetic and petty things that ended an otherwise decent stay on a very sour note

Room Tip: better off staying up high in the tall building to avoid the noise pools in off peak are nice

Stayed in royal wing superior room for 3 nights in Oct 2014. Room is facing the pool view and comes with bathtub too. As it was raining season for the month, we woke up early one morning and realise the front driveway of the hotel is flooded. When we were out in the streets, we saw that some of the areas will flood once there's rain and I believe its just their poor draining system.
Hotel location is good. It is walking distance to the mall and close to the famous number 6 restaurant. Its also closed to the massage parlors which opens till late.

This hotel was so close to everything. I would definitely recommend this place if you planned to have a fun filled adventurous stay. We were hardly in the hotel as we had so many tours and activities booked. The room and bed was very clean, don't expect to have top service though. If your travelling with friends and want a clean hotel close to everything, then I recommend staying at Royal Paradise.

Room Tip: Stay in Pool facing rooms - much quiet then the other rooms due to the gay strip.

We arrived to a room that smelt like mouse faeces. When we asked if all the rooms smelt that bad the response was yes.. After having booked on line and already paying for the room we were stuck there for 3 nights. The room looked nothing like what had been advertised so we decided to go on the internet and look... No internet in the rooms unless you pay 100Baht for a password per day.. We rang to request a password which took 2 hours to arrive... Finally we were on the internet and it was so slow and kept dropping out that we gave up. This however wasn't the worst of our experience.. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. On our second day of being at the hotel, housekeeping cleaned the room while we were gone.. We went for a swim and when we returned to the room we noticed the robes were missing but didn't think much of it because obviously housekeeping had taken them when they cleaned the room.. The following day we were suffering from a hard night out in Bangla Rd and decided to not have the room made up, we ordered room service which was inedible. Finally the next day was time to check out.. When we tried to check out we were informed that the robes were missing, we explained what had happened and thought this was the end of it. We requested to leave our bags as our flight wasn't until later that night and went out for a few hours.. When we returned to collect our bags we were again questioned over the robes... They basically told us that we were lying and that we had the robes in our luggage and then demanded that we show them... At first we refused because of the principle of the matter..
Eventually we asked to go somewhere more private to empty our bags.. We were taken to the restaurant with 6 staff watching us empty out our bags... Of course the robes were not in our bags as we had already told them.. Without even an apology we were then told to leave.

Unless you want to be accused of being a liar, a thief, pay for food that is inedible and sleep in a smelly room with an uncomfortable bed then don't stay here
