Went to Bangkok first stayed at the "Centara Grand" excellent !
Carried on to the Amari Coral beach in Patong , this is the place to stay if you want peace and quiet , hotels in the town near the beach are just to in your face !
Rooms where good, food was very good , and service was amazing also.
the only problem is the steps , (millions of them) everywhere you go theres steps , the hotel is built on a cliff edge , this is the reason .
Did a few trips via the hotel, it was nice to see the islands and other resorts , would we go agai NO but it was the best of what was on offer there.

Room Tip: No matter which room you get ,the steps go with them, lots of them

Room, food & service were all excellent and good value for such a high quality hotel.
The beach can only be used at high tide due to the coral but the pools are so clean, warm and well serviced that there was no need to go beyond. The pier was an interesting 400 metre board walk and ideal for snorkelling.
The location was nice and quiet with lovely views & is only a short walk from the lively restaurants and shops - a cheap return by tuk tuk if you become too exhausted after the fun of negotiating at the lively shops.

5 days here for the start of our honeymoon before we headed to Nai Yang.
Perfect setting and views from room. Even views from the pool and anywhere you seem to sit to drink or eat. Cool pier for private bathing and swimming. Superb breakfast and very varied restaurants and menus. Even the room service was quick 24 hr and very nice!
Its away from the noise and hussle but close enough to walk down the hill and right in the thick of it. Or a cheap tuktuk ride away!!
Its not the newest modern place but didn't bother us. Very pleasant staff and Patong is a must if your in Phuket. Not the seedy place we feared. Lots of live bands and fun places. We fealt very safe walking round. No hardcore hassle from the shop or market owners and you can eat at any of the neighbouring hotels no problem!

Room Tip: Ask the cleaners to keep your door shut when turning your beds and they will. Keeps the mosquitos ou...

Amari coral beach is a fantastic hotel if you like to be within walking distance of the main drag of patong but get a good nights sleep in the serene setting just a short walk away. Not the best hotel if you have walking difficulties as there is a steep hill to climb just before you get to the hotel but it is only £3- £4 for a tuk tuk into town. We usually walked which took us about 15 mins and got a tuk tuk back. Through the day the hotel was quiet, the only noise to be heard was the occasional jet ski going by. Can't fault the hotel, service or food, all fabulous. The choice at breakfast is unreal, every thing from croissants to curry and every kind of thing inbetween. As with most hotels eating out is much more expensive than going in to town, where you could get a curry for £4 in town you could pay £15 at the hotel. In saying that we ate in a couple of nights and couldn't fault anything. Internet very expensive, you could get and 2 hours in town for the price of 15 minutes at the hotel. Lovely hotel and would stay there again.

Just got back from a five night honeymoon at the Amari. Wonderful stay.
Pros: beautiful room, beautiful view (definitely go for sea view room), nice bar/pool, awesome breakfast buffet, end of the strip location right on patong beach.
Cons: crappy Italian restaurant (overpriced and not worth it), five stars would be if the staff got us a small glass of cold water when we asked for some as we were waiting for our room to be ready for early check-in, five stars would be better English speaking staff, it would be a small scooter/tuk tuk/golf buggy to take guests up the incredibly steep hill leading up to the hotel.

Overall, the views, room, lobby bar, rim talay intercontinental restaurant, breakfast buffet and location make this four star hotel great for a relaxing stay in patong beach, Phuket.

Room Tip: Go for sea view. Ask for one near the small pool. Gorgeous views of the private beach.

We went for honeymoon to Amari Coral Beach Resort and our experience was above expectations
We loved the welcome drink
Service is very good
Co-operating and soft spoken staff
Breakfast was just mind blowing
Ambience is amazing
Food quality is great
Too good swimming pools
Great beach
Amari Coral made our Honeymoon the Best one
We got the complete privacy at the resort
No disturbances and very peaceful place
Only thing is SPA is not value for money

Room Tip: Corner Suites gives more privacy. Room in the near vicinity to Swimming pool is always good.

The most perfect spot for a hotel, reception is on the top of the hill, the rooms are located on different levels down the hill ending with the restaurant on the level with the ocean. all the rooms have a sea view and are well furnished. Though the bathrooms are a little small. We spent a lovely 4 days here and wished it could have been longer.
The food was wonderful, but it would be a little difficult for vegetarians.
One needs to be in perfect health as there are numerous steps to climb up and down. The beach is 10 mins walk and pleasant. Thanks to the hotel staff, keep up the good work.
