“Beautiful”
Reviewed 1 February 2014 via mobile

We have just returned from our stay at the Amari Phuket and all we can say is wow! From the service at the front desk to the comfy duck down pillows, happy hour drinks and then the massages by the pool our stay was wonderful. This hotel is not far to walk at all into town and a very nice distance away to enjoy a beautiful view without any smells or noise. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family without hesitation. If there was any feedback at all it would be the restaurant at night the food wasn't the best and sometimes served cold but this was not enough to dull our stay at all the buffet breakfast was just beautiful!

Can not wait to return.

Luckily we got the last room in the block, next to the spa (before the jetti) and that also on ground floor. Right in front of the room was the beach. The moment we entered our room and saw the beach from inside, we were super excited. We had a comfortable and relaxing stay at Amari, food was good and people helpful. Since the hotel has been beautifully designed and spread out, we had many places to take lovely pics as well. Especially the pool side, the walk to the Jetti, the Jetti itself, the beach, etc. The experience on the Jetti was amazing - cool breeze, extremely peaceful and the awesome view of Patong beach - unforgettable! The only thing that scared us was being too near to the sea, because we all knew what happened when Tsunami had come. But overall it was a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: If possible, ask for the room near the spa (before the Jetti) on ground floor.

just returned from 10 day at the Amari, had a really nice stay but some things lacking and easily redemmed by a good hotel manager. Stayed in a suite room and as much as we enjoyed the room it had a poor layout with a large window bed/sofa with tall glass windows but they could not be opened ! also small balcony which was over looking tthe seafront again the balcony didnt lead down to the front so another disappointment. We have stayed at the Amari in Koh Samui and had a suite room and felt the one in Phuket was not as good.

Breakfast in the hotel was of good quality as was lunch and pool service. But evening dinning was a true disappiontment, the three times we tried with the thrid being only slightly better. Biggest grip was there was never a hotel manager on site overseeing things picking things up. We asked to see the hotel manager and got the food and beverage manager who just agreed with everything we said ! enjoyed our time in the local area and our stay in Thailand but the amari didnt sell it to us to return to one of their hotels for a third time

Room Tip: its a hotel on a hill most of the rooms you have to walk to the pool we stayed in block 7 which we e...

This was my second stay at Amari Phuket and although enjoyed the new lobby decoration, I preferred the old layout of La Gritta restaurant.
There was a lot of expansion works up the hill meaning that just like the rest of Patong area, it's growing too much. Quantity doesn't mean necessarily quality.
Also felt that most of the staff that spoke good english is now gone.
Although this time I decided to stay on the Deluxe wing, not much deluxe on offer.... the fruit basket never got changed during my stay.
In general Phuket and became overcrowded, the traffic is chaotic, it takes ages to go to point A to point B. You need no less than one hour to go and one hour to return if you're going on a boat tour. And the prices have gone up too much. Next time I'll go to Thailand may be I'll try Koh Samui or Krabi.
Appreciated the hotel limo on arrival at he airport.

We are staying at this hotel at the moment. Our room 1105 was a few metres from the beach with fabulous sea views and views of Patong bay. There are two excellent pools with numerous comfortable sun loungers. The staff are excellent and are so polite and welcoming. Breakfast is buffet style but amazing choices and superbly presented and cooked. There are 2 restaurants and we have eaten in both. The Italian ( La Grilla has amazing views over the bay especially at sunset) the food and service is excellent. I have also had the Spa package which was amazing. I can thoroughly recommend a stay in this hotel. Magic!

Room Tip: Bring a mossy zapper we seem to be bitten quite a lot

This is a great hotel located on the beach with great views. It's far enough away from the main tourist area so that it's very relaxing, but a 200 BHT (5 minutes) Tuk-Tuk ride gets you down in the heart of everything. The pool area is very nice and there are lots of nice bars with nice views scattered throughout the property. Excellent spot to kick back and relax.

Wasn't sure on location before arrival but found it to be perfect. Overlooking Patong Bay & just far enough out from the mad crowds around Bangla Road. The view out to sea from reception was breath taking. Pool area was stunning. Delux rooms were newly updated & all had a great sea view. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast had a very wide choice & Le Gritta restaurant was also good. Happy hour 3 times a day was also great. 200 BHTS in a TucTuc to Bangla/nightlife. When we return to Phuket we will def stay here again. Highly recommend.
